I was able to replace 2017 honda pilot side view mirror in 20 minutes by following this video. Thanks for putting such a clear concise video. In my model there was only one connector and the tab was on blue part. That was the only difference.
I just followed these instructions including holding onto the mirror when removing the top nut, (I drop the nut too, ha ha) I had 2 issues. When I placed the replacement mirror assembly in place the assembly on the outside of the car did not provide a good tight fit at the top gasket. I had to loosen all the nuts, tighten the top nut first to pull in that area, then tighten the other top nut followed by the bottom nut. The top of the assembly needed to be pulled in more to make the top seal tighter. The other trick which caused more problems for me was aligning the door side cover and getting it to drop in place. Once it did everything snapped in place. Make sure the wire for the mirror is behind the door. Mine was sticking out and I had to push it back in behind the door for the finally snap in of the door side panel. Thanks for these instructions. Honda wanted over $300 for the mirror. I bought it at Auto Zone for $92. My mirror was for a 2016 Honda Pilot LX. Its not a heated mirror, no memory or light. Just a powered mirror with manual movement of the assembly. If the mirror was over $300 I am sure Honda would have charged me another $300 for 25 mins of labor. Probably 10mins if you have done this before.
I am looking at replacement mirrors for passenger side. I found a few but they don't look like the 3 bolts are on the mirror. Would you know of the 3 bolts are removable so I can transfer to a new mirror should it not have bolts?

Would the procedure be the same for the passenger side? My wife just knocked it off and it was hanging by just the cable. I duckedtaped it back on. It all works. I need to see a picture of what it looks like with the side mirror removed. Her Pilot is a 2016. This video could save me a lot of money. Thanks
I bought a replacement non OEM mirror. Was able to replace it with these instructions however about 9 months later I noticed just the mirror itself seems to have gotten loose. When driving along I can see it vibrating, bouncing. Its out of warranty so I am stuck with it. It could be just bad luck but something to keep in mind.

mine broke as well and waiting for replacement to come. Honda dealer wants 450 for parts and 250 for labor. Why can't they be reasonable to get our business?
I followed advice to the tee and was done in less than 15min. A definite 5 star rating om this tutorial.
