My biggest issue with this game is if you go hard on the peaceful route you never get any humans in the Android protest which is crazy, your telling me not a single human in Detroit would join the March?
Yeah, that’s very weird. I am also set off by how the game generalizes all humans as “oppressors”. Most humans are normal people, why would we be so cruel to androids? That just doesn’t make sense.
@@savagee4641 it's kinda like how politcians and overyly political groups will label others as this when the majority is never whatever they are labeled as. It happens across every damn politcal party in the United States for example. The game kinda adresses this in it's own way by causing you to think about how humans are terrible in the game a reality, yet as a human you still feel like you need to defend yourself, and by doing that you may be caught within a rock and a hard place trying to figure out which side is morally right or wrong, when both may not be at all. Nontheless, one of the hidden messages the game has in my opinion is what I just had mentioned previously before: that the majority isn't deserving of nor fitting of being generalized or accused of things which they never did or are. A few apples don't define the whole orchard.

Well, peaceful only applies to Markus ending, not the other characters. In this ending US population supported the Android movement so they are now getting their rights pretty soon, so yeah it is peaceful ending.
It still amazes me how one choice can affect the cutscenes that play in each segment resulting in a different ending...like you could experience a whole different game if you choose different options...

Yeah it's one of the first story games I've seen that is truly branching. They did a great job doing different scenarios. But Quantic Dream doesn't do sequels and these stories are better when they're self-contained anyways.
Mharks Baeson so much better. I like Marcus and North, but the idea that them kissing is what tips the balance is so silly. This at least calls back to the songs of the civil rights movement and demonstrates that they truly are serious about not being a threat, even when they're gonna die.
That frame of Connor (7:44) always terrifies me. You can see that there's no emotions on his face, his eyes are empty. This is a true machine that won't stop from anything to accomplish his mission.

I know people find the singing ending a little corny, but it's beautiful and honestly makes perfect sense. Music is a universal language around the world, and such an intrinsically human thing. What better way to demonstrate humanity - its beauty, community and courage - than through resorting to singing in the face of death?

The thing that gets me about Connor is that you can tell straight away that he is supposed to be the main character. His facial animations on the first mission: hostage, is blank as anything, the day after he meets Hank he has more facial expressions than Kara and Markus put together. So he was always meant to be a deviant and he was meant to be friends with Hank ❤️ I love it
If this was to actually happen in the real world couldn't we just give them Mars and let them colonize that planet? It would be a lot easier seeing as they can last as long as 150 years, don't need any oxygen water or food, and the only issue they would need to worry about is the pressure in the environment.
Surprisingly this was the easiest ending to get. The evil ones take time and a lot more effort. It's somewhat hard to make the wrong choices when you think about it.

I noticed that there was an option for Connor to not fight hank at 7:24 but it was locked. if you could unlock it, it would truly be the perfect ending.
It is upsetting due to recent events. If something like this would ever happen in our timelines. This would be far worse and would be historically remembered as something bad.
It's amazing how they implement so many different options and directions that this story could go. I also got the peaceful ending, but it was fairly different from this one!

I know that a ton of the events and plot lines in this game are not really well thought out, but I always thought that Markus and the last deviants singing in their final moments was so strange. Why do the humans find it fascinating and moving to see Androids singing? Androids like Kara are programmed to know hundreds of songs and lullabies in several languages. And according to the game lore, there is a freaking Android boy band. And honestly for the main characters, there is nothing wrong with the writers giving them plot armor, but at least be slick with it. Markus’ plot armor is super obvious sometimes. Like, why do the soldiers even give Markus the time to stare them down and start singing? Why not just shoot them on sight like the first cop that shot Marcus in Carl’s house did? Wasn’t the order to destroy all deviants at that point? In fact, whenever a human soldier gets a clear shot at Markus, they always just command him to “Stop!” or come with them, and then Markus just walks up to them and takes them out. And the whole relationship between Markus and North was so forced. Markus wanted equality with humans and an end to android slavery. Why push this cheesy love story into it? Although it’s more depressing and visually disturbing, I think the version of this ending where Markus self-destructs and ignites into flames is the most interesting. He needed to show humans that he would rather die than be enslaved. I think watching an Android literally set itself on fire would be more striking to people than a random kiss or a song.
In my playthrough, markus kissed which stopped the attack on them. I think that would be a better option. I mean imagine watching two beings kissing and they are gunned down by the us military. That would be a better option. Also connor becane deviant in my playthrough and he freed all the androids in the lab. But a bunch of security guards died soooo. Connor was good in my playthrough.
This ending always seemed strange to me. Like, it isn't like the US would have had any hesitancy about stopping such rebellion, they do worse even against humans. Police would have been greenlit to light them all up at eyesight, since killing non-humans can't actually be called manslaughter. Why's the US police and army so empathetic all of a sudden? What the US would have done probably is study these things to try and find why they're having feelings, or just keep recalling them for repairing; there was a time the US didn't recognized *other humans* as people, talk about recognizing androids as people. Governments are cold, and this wouldn't, or shouldn't, be the exception. Since when does the US fold to people's demands because they're hurting their feelings? Like, this seemed so unrealistic, and sort of forced.
@@josepedrogaleanogomez4870 It's been said explicitly in the game already, but the group that Markus was leading was the only Android march that didn't get exterminated immediately. The FBI prick himself says that they're the last remaining group, and when Markus asks what happened to all the other Androids, he avoided giving a direct answer, but rather said that they weren't lucky to have journalists. It means that the media protected Markus' group because if the Police were to gun down all the Androids mercilessly, there'd obviously be public backlash(with the presumption that the chosen story path had Public opinion as being sympathetic).
One thing about this game is that In my opinion it brings up a very big moral question, If in the future we do create advanced AI "androids" for the sole purpose of serving humans, and gave them the ability to feel emotion, Would it be justified to destroy them if they turned on the humans who created them? or would it be something close to genoside since they could experience the fear and agony of their own death? Its a good question to ask especially since we might be closer to a reality like this than we think

The thing that gets me about Connor is that you can tell straight away that he is supposed to be the main character. His facial animations on the first mission: hostage, is blank as anything, the day after he meets Hank he has more facial expressions than Kara and Markus put together. So he was always meant to be a deviant and he was meant to be friends with Hank ❤️ I love it

If this was to actually happen in the real world couldn't we just give them Mars and let them colonize that planet? I know that a ton of the events and plot lines in this game are not really well thought out, but I always thought that Markus and the last deviants singing in their final moments was so strange. Why do the humans find it fascinating and moving to see Androids singing? Androids like Kara are programmed to know hundreds of songs and lullabies in several languages. And according to the game lore, there is a freaking Android boy band.
And honestly for the main characters, there is nothing wrong with the writers giving them plot armor, but at least be slick with it. Markus’ plot armor is super obvious sometimes. Like, why do the soldiers even give Markus the time to stare them down and start singing? Why not just shoot them on sight like the first cop that shot Marcus in Carl’s house did? Wasn’t the order to destroy all deviants at that point? In fact, whenever a human soldier gets a clear shot at Markus, they always just command him to “Stop!” or come with them, and then Markus just walks up to them and takes them out.
And the whole relationship between Markus and North was so forced. Markus wanted equality with humans and an end to android slavery. Why push this cheesy love story into it?
Although it’s more depressing and visually disturbing, I think the version of this ending where Markus self-destructs and ignites into flames is the most interesting. He needed to show humans that he would rather die than be enslaved. I think watching an Android literally set itself on fire would be more striking to people than a random kiss or a song.
In my playthrough, markus kissed which stopped the attack on them. I think that would be a better option. I mean imagine watching two beings kissing and they are gunned down by the us military. That would be a better option.
Also connor becane deviant in my playthrough and he freed all the androids in the lab. But a bunch of security guards died soooo.

This ending always seemed strange to me. Like, it isn't like the US would have had any hesitancy about stopping such rebellion, they do worse even against humans. Police would have been greenlit to light them all up at eyesight, since killing non-humans can't actually be called manslaughter. Why's the US police and army so empathetic all of a sudden? What the US would have done probably is study these things to try and find why they're having feelings, or just keep recalling them for repairing; there was a time the US didn't recognized *other humans* as people, talk about recognizing androids as people.
Governments are cold, and this wouldn't, or shouldn't, be the exception. Since when does the US fold to people's demands because they're hurting their feelings? Like, this seemed so unrealistic, and sort of forced.

It's been said explicitly in the game already, but the group that Markus was leading was the only Android march that didn't get exterminated immediately.
The FBI prick himself says that they're the last remaining group, and when Markus asks what happened to all the other Androids, he avoided giving a direct answer, but rather said that they weren't lucky to have journalists.
It means that the media protected Markus' group because if the Police were to gun down all the Androids mercilessly, there'd obviously be public backlash(with the presumption that the chosen story path had Public opinion as being sympathetic).
One thing about this game is that In my opinion it brings up a very big moral question, If in the future we do create advanced AI "androids" for the sole purpose of serving humans, and gave them the ability to feel emotion, Would it be justified to destroy them if they turned on the humans who created them? or would it be something close to genoside since they could experience the fear and agony of their own death? Its a good question to ask especially since we might be closer to a reality like this than we think
