- Director Jimmy Hubbard (Guitar World, Vice) recorded Converge’s set at Philadelphia’s Union Transfer during the band’s All We Love We Leave Behind tour in 2012. Hubbard shot the 20-song set with multiple cameras, while mixing was done by sound engineer Alan Douches (Motorhead, The Dillinger Escape Plan). The set will be the centerpiece of Thousands of Miles Between Us, but there’s more than a dozen hours of additional content.

impressive musicians just hos voice is sometimes kind of strange to me especially live. if i sing a song like that after 30 sec have voice no more.no idea how he can do it and many others too
svoboda simon literally years of practice. A lot of people say screaming takes no skill, it's actually pretty difficult to be on point vocally 100% of the time
It's just a technique, like any other. I'd say Nate's vocals probably take more effort than Jake's as he can't cup the mic for that blown-out muffled sound (sound engineers fucking HATE that btw, as it can make mic feedback worse)
Jake has pretty much destroyed his voice at this point tho so he probably never did it with good technique,

Wtf? Musically they are totally awesome n I was completely hooked until the vocalist started dying into the mic! Worst singer I've ever heard, period! Such a disappointment!!!
Listen to their albums, he is amazing. Its a sound that takes some time to get used to, but once you get it it sounds rad. He is one of my favourite vocalists for sure, because of the pure emotion he portrays not with only the lyrics but just the pure sound of his voice, its like adding another instrument to the bands sound (Especially on their older works like petitioning the empty sky and jane doe). Give their three last albums a shot because his vocals sounds less grating at first on those than on their older work. Also if you arent willing to listen to their albums skip to the time they perform Glacial Pace or Dark Horse on this because i think he sounds perfect on those especially.
I do agree he dosent always sound on point live but he always makes sure to give it all on stage 100% of the time. They might be a bit much to start out with but dude dont give up on this band because its hella rewarding. Literally 8 perfect hardcore albums in a row that all carry their completely unique converge sound, yet all of them has their own feel to them. One of the best bands around in my book, i almost doubt hardcore music will ever see anything alike converge ever again.
