I went to NY last year, and in the middle of Manhattan there is a game store. Crazy stupid high prices on everything. They also had A LOT of great stuff. I got the impression they had so much good stuff because no one actually bought anything, so eventually it adds up.
How they actually afford to pay rent I have no clue. I suppose tourists must pay the high prices, but as a tourist I knew better. I went to VGNY store, the people who release physical copies of games similar to Limited run, and they had regular prices. Still on Manhattan, just not in the center.
I write all this because I imagine the game store in Hollywood would be high priced. I hope the owner isn't that guy.
His store is in a highly trafficked retail area with lots of boutique stores. People go there specifically to spend money on high end goods, like expensive vintage clothing.
People who generally live in those areas have money
