I really want to finish this episode but it’s 4 am and I already worked a longer shift than I was supposed to. The fact that I keep inching closer and closer to calling in to the “three one oh eight four four six one five nine” voicemail so I could tell you about the divorce I’m going through at this very moment. I wasted 10 years, just passed our 5 year wedding anniversary, and found out a week ago he cheated on me with my best friend on my birthday. Your podcast means so much to me right now that I’m obviously falling asleep trying to sit through the remaining 50 minutes but when you said “you found your person etc etc *eyeroll*” I ALMOST called. I need about another week and I’ll be able to explain everything without getting choked up but responding with a real life emote 🤪✌🏾. I love that Andrew is here, I love you Chris. i relate so much!! i lived w my bestie for 6 years (been on my own for 3) and when we moved apart it was difficult for both of us for a long time. living alone has def grown on me a lot, it’s become my own personal oasis w my puppo that’s completely mine, but that inflation has kept me from doing a lot of fun things and prioritizing groceries and gas. i didn’t believe that “by your 30s you’d lose your fun self” or whatever and it’s solely bc of our government. “adulthood” in the US has been more oppressive than my own damn depression. period.

I totally agree that giving yourself the allowance to have a "memory box" or a "junk box" really helps when you have an emotional attachment to items lol. I keep EVERYTHING when it comes to my son- he's only two and I have a hole dresser drawer full already and a whole closet of clothes that I can't bring myself to get rid of.
Truly I have kept everything 🤦🏼♀️ I have every appointment card from my pregnancy, I have the little papers and hospital menu from the day he was born, I have the receipt from that meal, I have the receipt from his circumcision, I have his umbilical cord 🤢, I have every greeting card he has ever received, I have the hat he wore in the hospital, I have his first soother, the nip from his first bottle, I have hair from his first haircut, his first home hair cut, his first haircut done by grandma 🤦🏼♀️, I have a piece of the wrapping paper from his birthday outfit, I have the cake toppers from his birthdays, and Soooooooo much more random items that for some reason I couldn't bring myself to get rid of lol. I can't help that I'm a sentimental galllll lol one day he will enjoy it I hope :P

I swear it feels like the video of you moving out was just a couple months ago...wtf time is crazy sometimes lol and I can confirm destinational happiness is not something to do...I thought once I move to cali it'll be better I'll be happy...been here 10 years and I'm miserable...I hate it here...I don't wanna go back to my hometown so idk...and with how expensive it is here I'm stuck here right now...I can't save up to move anywhere and if I do save anything it's barely anything and then I need the money so I take from that little bit I had save....find happiness before you try to klmove somewhere guys cuz moving here really just fucked up my mental health...and yeah I miss season more than anything esp fall that's my fav!
