    Man, this tank is incredibly inspiring! Everything about it makes me so happy. I've got an IM 24g lagoon that's been sitting neutral for over three years, and I think I know exactly what I'm going to do with it now :)
    I really can't wait to see what Kevin does with it! We would love to stay in the loop with his projects.

      The application of the Squid unit on the return pump truly got my mind ticking when we got talking about it! Such a fun tank to chat about and showcase here on the channel! Thanks for checking out the video, and dropping a comment!

    Awesome tank with the close up shots it looks a lot bigger than it is, and the aquascape is very nice.

    lol, the “SCWD” pronounced squid random wave generator definitely took me back a couple of years. Back in 2012 it was the must have cheap accessory for closed loop systems.

    I love everything you did with this system. When I saw the first images at the beginning, I figured it was a much larger tank. But then when I saw it in perspective, I understood. Everything is so well thought out, and I would have never though to drill a couple more holes and install some locline. That is genius and really keeps all of those wavemakers and wires out of the tank. You mentioned you will be adding a wrasse. How will you solve any jumping issues with the floating aquascape and plants? Really, just a great job with this system. An inspiration for all us beginners out there! -Matthew

    • @TopShelfAquatics
      @TopShelfAquatics  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for checking it out Matthew, hoping all is well on your part! The possum wrasse actually found its way into the system today, and as for mitigating jumping the big focus will be on keeping everything well fed and trying to mitigate aggression. We feel the extensive amount of ledges and caves will provide ample amount of space for the fish to hide and separate from one another! Thanks for the comment and checking it out!

    If it was my tank I would want to add some of the local South Florida snail and crab species that live on rockwalls and jetties to this tank. They would make good use of the rocks above the water line and would be some unique additions. Idk if they would eat the air plants or not, but it would be a neat experiment.

    Definitely not a fan of tanks without lids, much less ones that can't even have them. It's just asking for fish to jump to their death. An inevitability.

    • @TopShelfAquatics
      @TopShelfAquatics  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I can for sure understand where you are coming from! A lid is always a great option, and allows you to keep some of the more prone to jump species (gobies, wrasses, etc.)
