    I used the buddyclub extended ball joints and within 8 months of daily street and highway use the rubber boots started showing cracks. I hope these true heart have rubber or silicone boots.

    I had some TruHart ball joints fail on my within 500 miles of driving. They have poor quality-control. Just wanted you to know, be aware. Hopefully the car will be on a track rather than an interstate. You should really be replacing all your bushings since you're going to the trouble of replacing everything else. I would have gone with SPC or Buddy Club ball joints rather than the cheap, crappy TruHarts. Hope they work well for you.

    I already did my front ball joints. I also put in new control arms with Polyurethane bushings. I used the Black series; they have graphite in them so they wont squeak. Up next is the rear control arms. That ball joint joint tool can be a pain, if you smack the tip of the old joint with a hammer they pop out.

    I see this videos a few years old but just FYI your slotted rotors are on incorrectly ... the slots sweep towards the front of your car instead of the back .

    You didn’t use the ball joint remover/installer right to remove the ball joint, you had it upside down

    You put the camber kits on the wrong side! You put the left side on the right and the right on the left...

      @RefineMovement  7 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      +Coda5610 I only did the one side this weekend but your right I did put it on the wrong side. I'll fix it this weekend. Thanks for spelling it out so clearly.

  • @Mrtrunks
    @Mrtrunks 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Extended ball joints and camber kits have been one of the best thing I did on my car.
    There is also a second kit for Honda ball joints you can rent

    @freeshavacado7378 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Good vid. That sucks you out it on backwards though. For my EG I had to remove my shocks because of the design of the upper control arm.

      @RefineMovement  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Free Shavacado Thanks, yeah it was the end of the day and mixed it up. It not that hard on the EKs to take it out. Plus I only did the one side. thanks for watching !

    Do u have any problem with the camber kit hitting the chassis because of the way it's designed?

    • @RefineMovement
      @RefineMovement  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +King D I haven't driven it yet and I haven't heard of any issues like that

    • @guilhermeofrances

      I had this problem and could not use the camber kit, do these extended balljoins allow the use of the camber kit?

    • @DJNaturaultone

      Yea same issue I had. Those kits aren't ment for lower cars. I now use skunk2 or stock is best for clearance..

  • @gurjindersingh199
    @gurjindersingh199 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do the camber arms hit the shock tower ? I'm trying to avoid cutting the shock tower and welding a bulk head in. I'd rather keep that stock...

    • @RefineMovement

      I haven’t noticed them hitting the shock tower

    On my car the transmission fluid pours out when you pull the axle.

    • @krismichalsky
      @krismichalsky 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Then you have too much fluid in your trans, or your car is leaning that way enough so that trans fluid comes out when pulling the axle.

    Can anybody say how long the bushings/balljoint on the truhart uca lasted?

  • @fifadon7949
    @fifadon7949 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Question I put on one of that same control arm with the camber on my 98 accord and for some odd reason the ride height is messed up on the driver side. No matter how I lower my coilover the ride height is still mind blowing “HIGH” any help?? 😞

    • @RefineMovement
      @RefineMovement  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe the bolts connected to the body are too tight and are not allowing the arm to move. Make sure to have the suspension at ride height when tightening your bolts

    What size Allen key did you end up using for the camber plates?

    • @jonathanguzman7537
      @jonathanguzman7537 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Allen key for the adjustable control arms is 8mm metric hex key

    Usually a hammer is all that's needed for ball joints in a Civic.
