    Love the jacket fashions, they are all pretty great. Also love the songs of the magpies in the background, I miss that. Thank you for sharing your sewing.

    Boiled wool is so perfect for transitional outerwear! Thanks for this, Kristen ... and for those gorgeous cherry blossoms. Must have taken you ages to sew them all on that tree. 🌺 🌸🌺 🌸🌺

    Hi Kristen. Just to confirm , the green boiled wool is from Tessuti and you’ve linked it right? It’s $79 per meter. I’m interested in getting it but can’t find how wide it is so I know how much to order. Can you remember if it’s pretty wide? And also would you say it’s a warm green or cool.

      I’m Sew Blessed yes that’s right! It’s the best quality wool! It’s 150cm wide and it’s a true bottle green, not teal. It’s absolutely lovely xx

    That paprika jacket/coat looks lovely on you, so when you purchase boiled wool you don't have to pre shrink it?I don't normally wear anything that has wool content because like you I have a sensitivity to it. I think the thing that would prevent me from making one is the care if I did need to wash it. Thank you for sharing all the information as well.

    • @thedahliasewciety
      @thedahliasewciety  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No preshrinking needed, actually I never wash mine, dry cleaning is a preferred method if they get really dirty! I usually air dry them or spot clean if needed xx

    I have a jacket (cropped) that I like the style of...can this be adapted to sew with boiled wool? As in don't put front facings, overlap the seam allowances, etc? Actually, do you trim away some of the seam allowance once you sew the seams?

    • @thedahliasewciety
      @thedahliasewciety  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You actually don't trim any excess away because you just sew a 1/4 inch overlap. Its very neat and the instructions are great! A cropped jacket would be awesome!
