This is a very late comment and im not sure you'll see it. Ive stayed in Wilton Castle twice and it was pretty normal both times. I don't want to disprove what you witnessed but i have two potential answers for what happened. 1: The water, a lot of old buildings in Ireland need water pumps as they can't get enough pressure from the mains system, and while i was staying there, the same thing happened, we spoke to the owner and he said it was the pump (note, my entire family were staying there, so maybe he didn't want to scare us off 😂) 2: the scream, could have been a fox, I've experienced fox screams before and they make your blood run cold, but the story of the actress is pretty creepy.
The only weird thing that happened was, on the first night of the first stay, at around 2 AM-ish lightning struck near the castle TWICE and then just stopped, this lightning was CLOSE, you could feel the castle rumble. There was no rain, no wind and no predictions of lightning.
