What a stunningly fresh and creative interpretation! I would think Albeniz would have been intrigued by this performance!
Technically impeccable! But most of all a genius use of Silence between the notes for maximum dramatic effect. Brilliantly done - bravissima!

have never heard Asturias like this, since Ida Presti and Alexandre Lagoya, or Romero, Narcisso Yepes, Manuel Barrueco and so many others she adds a freedom in the diction, a less rigid relief, less academic that makes this score played by Vera absolutely sublime

Je n'ai jamais entendu Asturias comme cela, depuis Ida Presti et Alexandre Lagoya, ou Romero, Narcisso Yepes, Manuel Barrueco et tant d'autres elle ajoute une liberté dans la diction, un relief moins rigide, moins académique qui rend cette partition jouée par Vera absolument sublime.

Vera is using a very small guitar support on her left hip, attached to the lower side of the guitar.
Я много раз слушал астурию в исп..многих музыкантов. Все страшно неряшливо,не нравилось.и вот слушая Веру услышал мягкое нежное звучание испанского калорита . Будто звучала не гитара а твоя душа. Браво. А.п.

Love the phrasing when using the staccato low b on the opening.
The whole approach was quite unique (I.e optimised completely for guitar) compared to other versions which tend to mirror the original piano approach.
Vera is about as good as it gets.
All versions are based upon Severino Fortea's, from which Segovia took his version. The only version that adheres to the piano one, is by Stanley Yates. All else veer off from the piano original.

Sky guitar channel does have a pretty good video for this piece. .But it's quite popular, so you'll find lots of interpretation of it. If you feel uncomfortable with some parts, you can easily find another way to play it. Do not hesitate to do so since this piece is quite challenging.
