Great vidro Phil 😮missed it only found out 1/2hour before it flew over I did manage to see her in April flying over her home in Lincolnshire whilst on hols.😂
Ah the trickiness of filming flying aircraft. To get the props looking as if they are rotating fast (as they are) needs a special type of shutter. Being mostly black, the camera under exposes the AC cus of so much bright sky. Tracking the AC at high zoom is really difficult, the slightest muscle twitch over pans the subject. Then with my now old video camera, the bloody AF keeps focusing on an adjacent cloud, not the subject AC, so hunting occurs. You did reasonably well Phil. One of the skills I'd like to be very good at, so I'm in the market for a suitable proper digital video camera as mobile phones just can't do aircraft.
Thanks Andrew. Interesting about needing a special type of shutter to get the props speed. I know what you mean about under exposing the ac, and the focus. If you notice at the beginning of my video, I had cut a bit out, as the camera focused on a nearby vehicle and lost the plane completely . I use a Panasonic HC-VXF 1 camcorder
