japanese humor tends to take this switch from incredibly clever word puns and deep satire, and just straight up bugs bunny insanity. this is one of those moments.
DRK is an excellently written emotional story, while this part of the WAR quest chain seems to be an excellently written comedic story. Both are great, but they are so different that it’s very hard to directly compare them.

I love that she knocks several fully armoured Roegadyn across the horizon, but my Lalafell WoL was apparently too much for her. Being a Lalafell in the Marauder/Warrior quests is hilarious.
How is that sad though? Being awe/lovestruck with another person is an intense experience, irrespective of it being corresponded (it usually isn't, which probably somehow increases the intensity).

When I just happen to be a male Xaela Au-Ra, going into this part of the WAR quest line onwards felt like destiny that I had made WAR my main job and made the lvl 80 quest so good
first off, big mood gorge second, i'll gladly take a romantic comedy job questline, it's so unexpected that it's a refreshing break imo third--it's still better than paladin's quest line

paladins essentially get a trilogy with roughly the same characters with the true culmination being the third set of quests. its not overly comedic or heart wrenching. its your basic honor story. its not bad, its just basic.
This is why no other class quest compares. Where war doesn't take itself seriously, everything else does and fall behind the best damn healer in the game; warrior
After the pretty bad Marauder quests, the pretty bad ARR Warrior quests, and the fairly mediocre Heavensward Warrior quests, they just went "fuck it, we're just Hildibrand now", and it's one of the best choices they ever made.

If you think about it both the Warrior and Dark Knight questlines are about using the power of love and friendship to control your inner beast/inner darkness.
Interestingly a lot of people in eorzea don't seem to care about gender, same sex relationships are probably relatively common On the other hand, the quest for the wandering palace hard shows that there's prejudice in some places for people who are in a relationship and are of different races instead. The couple we meet are a male miqo'te and a male hyur, and they were discriminated upon due to their races. Then again, it probably differs a lot from place to place, as we do see couples of different races as well.

I mean that's maybe a small "Stereotype" thinking from me, but I would guess alot of people who play Ninja also watch animes, and animes tend to have goofy and weird stuff. Maybe that's the reason.

I started with DRK as my first tank then leveled up warrior and boy was it a downgrade.. i really didn't like baby sitting this big oaf but on the brightside WAR ended up being more fun than DRK so i didn't regret it too much.
The guy from Sastasha shows up bragging that he’s somehow still alive, and someone immediately just yeets him clear across the horizon. That’s way too OP for normal play, but they should totally add that to whatever the next deep dungeon ends up being.
@@paledrake paladin's questline has always been seen as pretty lackluster, they did away with them in ShB in favour of role quests and they're going to do the same for EW. there's a little 80 "quest" when you're done with that but it's better to focus on which of the two you enjoy the most, you'll be with them a lot longer than a few quests :D

When I do a class quest I want to know more of my class lore, feel myself and my choice to dedicate myself to it worthy and genuine feel badass or simply cool by picking it. WAR is a joke that spit on all of that. ARR had a very fun WAR questline and story, which was completely scrapped. It's sad and those moments make me feel ashamed of liking Warrior.

There are valid reasons to like one and dislike the other, I just wanted to give my thoughts on why the comments on this video have such wildly different opinions on the two questlines. Personally, I haven’t played WAR yet, but as someone who loves the DRK quests, the Stormblood WAR quests seem to have the same sense of humor as the Manderville quests, which are amazing for *entirely different* reasons than DRK.

WAR is a joke that spit on all of that. ARR had a very fun WAR questline and story, which was completely scrapped.
It's sad and those moments make me feel ashamed of liking Warrior.
@@Feuerhamster Edgy -=- bad. The DRK quests are definitely edgy, but they are very well written. Stormblood WAR is a _very_ different kind of writing, but not necessarily bad. There are valid reasons to like one and dislike the other, I just wanted to give my thoughts on why the comments on this video have such wildly different opinions on the two questlines. Personally, I haven’t played WAR yet, but as someone who loves the DRK quests, the Stormblood WAR quests seem to have the same sense of humor as the Manderville quests, which are amazing for *entirely different* reasons than DRK.

I still remember actually dying when I witnessed this for the first time, what a cutscene
I was so glad that I decided not to skip this cut scene for some reason on that specific day, because my genuine reaction was speechlessness.

2. More self-heals than a SCH
3. Fell Cleave
4. A hilarious Lv. 60-70 job quest line
