Yanno, I think Spice has been gifted a talent I've only ever seen in great writers tho I guess it makes sense. The gift of explaning something so that new people understand it and people who already know don't feel like they're hearing the same joke for the 50th time.
I love the old lore, Urza would be the villain of literally any other story and it hardly tries to hide that, literally, his only redeeming quality most of the time was "... but Yawgmoth is worse!"
I want a plotline where Urza comes back somehow, and everyone is very excited about "Yay, it's Urza! He's a hero!" but Urza is a fucking terrible human being and then he's down like Old Yeller
The best part about Togo that you missed is that his creature tagline is a "Goblin Artificer". This implies he somehow *crafts* the rocks into weapons---But the reality is that he's just picking them up. Lol.

Urza is my favorite MtG character and your constant, justified shitting on him made my day. Love it. His entire story was a cavalcade of ego and bad decisions, that he somehow stumbled onto saving the multiverse in spite of himself (even though he almost destroyed the multiverse more than once himself).
I like how he riffs on the fact that there is a Magic character named 'Malcom' when there are at least three different characters named some version of 'Jared' (Gerrad of the Weatherlight, Jarad the Golgari lich lord, and Jared the true heir)
Small correction, the 4 Innistrad Angel Sisters predated Avacyn, and she was never really seen as their "sister". Also, the other angels "jobs" were as follows Sigarda, Host of Herons protects the living Bruna, Light of Alabaster protected the dead Gisela, Blade of Goldnight fought the creatures of the night Liesa, Shroud of Dusk consorted with them Avacyn, being the outsider kept the balance between the creatures of the night and the humans, as humanities population dwindled, Avacyn became more powerful, and as they flourished, her power diminished. This ensured that there'd be an eternal stalemate so that vampires would never starve. This becomes a problem when Avacyn turns against the humans however.

I usually struggle with executive dysfunction, when packing away the dishes for example, so I kept saying things like "okay now put away the cups, just the cups, then I'll be very proud of you, oh wow they're almost done, just the cups, WELL DONE you've packed away all the cups, huzzah!" And I kept going like that with all of the clean dishes in sections. Try to tackle one thing at a time, both when doing dishes and with assignments, and just focus on that one thing until it's done. Keep reminding yourself that it's only one thing and to not think of the other things while doing that one thing. That way you won't get stuck and waste time panicking about everything at once. I'm sorry about uni. An important thing to remember is that "this too shall pass" whatever it is. That's the way anything goes, nothing lasts forever. One day you'll be out of uni... and out of 2020... and then it's passed. It's over Imagine yourself looking back, you'll probably see mostly the good and the big things. Perspective important to maintain, try to take a step out of the situation and look at it differently.

Why build a mausoleum during The Dark, a time of war, grim events and, well, darkness? Why a hollow one? Its charm WAS the absence of sense, the looming idea of something moving in the shadows, that literally eats the dead and appears only as a hollow shell with a name on it. A building so extravagant with no one to mention its occupant. Tormod's Crypt has a feeling very few other cards have. And then... a necromancer. The most trivial explanation of all. I don't hate the story, but man, what a letdown.
This has taken me 5 sittings to finish but it was worth it. Good stuff. Looking forward to your next video. A 3 hours essay about the erosion of goblin politics on dominaria and their rejection of the bourgeois attitude of the wizard class
The whole green screen / moving chair about the art bit is low key incredible. This is taking me forever to get through, but as soon as I see you slowly swinging across the screen or hanging upside down from a skyclave, while still comfortably perched in your chair, I'm immediately all grins.
It's subtle and wonderful, the way you've interwoven the segments where you double down on presenting certain key characters, organizations and events.
Honestly, I'm trying. Domri is fun and Yawgmoth is a bit of a shit, isn't he. Quite a lot to take in. Give me time. Loving the monkey goblins though . Lots of love, his actual mum xxx

@@AbsolXGuardian Yeah, at least in the brazillian official translations (sub and dub) both where given different names - Syfo Dias resembles a phrase that kinda mean “Get himself fucked” and Dooku resembles “From the butthole” or “Out of the ass”; I don’t remember what Syfo Dias was turned into, but Dooku became Dookan. Also “Captain Panaka” has another slang for “dumbass”. SW and MTG are some of my favorite properties that are filled with names with poor translation.
Also, the new “Brother’s War” presented me to a place called “Tomakul”, and oh boy, does that keep the tradition alive! (loosely resembles the phrase “up your ass” as in “up yours”)

Avacyn killed liesa and all her angels not because liesa was just working with demons, which she was sort of okay with, but because liesa made an outright pact with a demon, meaning that she was now under the demons control. So killing Liesa in this instance was perfectly justified because pacts with demons never work out well for anyone but the demon.
I was delighted to hear Spice's take on every legend from Commander Legends half of the time. I spent the other half mesmerized by Spice's nail polish.

- Karn is spelled very similarly as Portuguese for "Meat"
- Serra means "Saw" (the tool) in Portuguese
- Garruk's second name Wildspeaker has been translated as something akin to "Angry Talk"
- Gideon's second name "Jura" means "Oath" in Portuguese
I can't find it on the wiki so now I'm not sure, but didn't either Sifo-Dyas or Tryannus sound like a bad word in Portuguese? Does Portuguese just have every sound reserved?
@@AbsolXGuardian Yeah, at least in the brazillian official translations (sub and dub) both where given different names - Syfo Dias resembles a phrase that kinda mean “Get himself fucked” and Dooku resembles “From the butthole” or “Out of the ass”; I don’t remember what Syfo Dias was turned into, but Dooku became Dookan.
Also “Captain Panaka” has another slang for “dumbass”. SW and MTG are some of my favorite properties that are filled with names with poor translation.
Also, the new “Brother’s War” presented me to a place called “Tomakul”, and oh boy, does that keep the tradition alive!

Avacyn killed liesa and all her angels not because liesa was just working with demons, which she was sort of okay with, but because liesa made an outright pact with a demon, meaning that she was now under the demons control. So killing Liesa in this instance was perfectly justified because pacts with demons never work out well for anyone but the demon.
