I’m just back from two weeks in Denmark. The food is delicious. I had quite a few hotdogs, (dop is the best vendor - near Rundetarn), visited Torvehallerne (loved it) and sampled pastries all over. I was never disappointed (though I’m now ruined for having pastry anywhere else). Reinh Van Hauen was my favorite bakery. I still dream of the cinnamon roll I had there. It might be the best dessert of my life. I found the Tivoli Food Hall to be really overcrowded and the service really unfriendly. I wouldn’t go back.
Excellent suggestions for places to go! Haha, maybe I need to go back and check out some of these spots now :D Glad that you had such a good time there!
@@ThreeStarVagabond if you ever make it to Ystad (it’s a beautiful city), I highly recommend the restaurant Stor Thor. It’s in a basement dating back to the 1500s and has amazing atmosphere. I got the Swedish meatballs. Best meal I had in Europe on this trip. They were delicious. I had a dark chocolate mousse with a blackberry compote for dessert. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. (I was in Denmark for two weeks and went over to Sweden for my last weekend.)
@@toddbonin6926 Thanks for the tip! That sounds lovely (and quite delicious as well). I need to remember that restaurant. It takes a bit too long to go down south in Sweden so I rarely do it, but I've been meaning to check out Malmö, Lund and Ystad a bit more!
Thank you! Really appreciate it :D And I happen to have a trip to Helsinki planned... If you have anything extra interesting there to give me a tip about, please feel free to let me know! :)
Never been and need to go some day 3SV. Now I know exactly where to check out when I get there. And you are the #1 person to evaluate those frig-eh-del-a (?) and compare them to Swedish meatballs. Enjoyed this amigo.
If you ever go, I'm sure you'll have a blast! It's really a fun city with a lot of energy :) But they do have a fascination for seafood... I had to search long and hard to find meatballs and not just fishballs (which they also love). Oh, and thanks! :D
Thank you! And sorry for not including the prices but they were basically around 30 for hotdogs, 50-100 for smaller bites like smörrebröd or frikadeller. And well, more than that for full meals.
@@ThreeStarVagabond Thanks for your quick reply. Been watching your posts . It will be our first visit to Sweden , Denmark, Norway and Finland this June for 12 days.
Also, bonus points for showing that Reffen skateboard park!
It's a pity no one was skateboarding though! :)

Very well done! We are visiting this summer for the first time, so the food / locations information is most helpful! Many thanks!!
Thank you! Happy to be of help - and I hope you'll love it in Denmark :D
Really enjoy your "style" in the way you present all the food. It looks so good. I agree with you on the Danish pastries. Thanks!
Wow, thank you! Happy to hear that :D Cheers!
another great video!! love your energy and how you tell interesting historical facts about the subjects of the videos!
lots of love from Finland :3

Looks like we went to a lot of the same places. Such great food in Copenhagen! Especially the hot dogs of course...
Haha yeah it seems we both have the knack for finding good spots, right! Although I went for a very sorry looking hot dog unlike you guys :D
Haha! Nice meeting you at Reffen! Love the vids! keep it up!
It was great meeting you! Hope you don't mind that you were included in a little clip :) Thank you so much - will definitely do :D

super excited
Great overview of the food! Have to say Danish cuisine is even more unremarkable than I had thought
Haha it really is pretty plain isn't it! Some people praise it for that though - tasty despite simple ingredients :D
@@ThreeStarVagabond I'll try it anyway when I'm there in 3 days !
@@MichaelShingo Hope you'll have an awesome time :D
love your vids man keep going!! almost at 1k subs
Thank you so much! :D Haha yeah, slowly getting closer to the elusive four digits...
Thanks for this post. Can you also mention the price range of your food purchases for travelers on a budget? Thanks!

Oh nice - you're going for all of Scandinavia! Hope you'll have a marvelous trip, and let's hope that you'll have great weather in June 😀
Great video. I miss Copenhagen!!!
Thank you! Copenhagen is really pretty awesome - and it almost seems to get prettier every time I visit :)
@@ThreeStarVagabond yes truly. I will go this summer.
Thanks for the tips my friend and enjoy your day 😀👍🏻
Thank you! :D Appreciate it - and hope you guys have a great one as well, especially now that summer is coming closer :)
Nice looking ❤❤❤
I love how you start this video 😁😁😆😆
Haha thank you! :D Better not get anyone's hopes up ;D

Great video. I’m not a fan of Carlsburg either.
Haha, glad to hear I'm not the only one :D Thank you!
Supar ❤❤❤
what about the prices
Good point. But to be honest, most places are pretty expensive in Denmark and Scandinavia as a whole
@@ThreeStarVagabond I know that but without price is no point , im going to visit denmark soon so i wanna get the idea.. never mind thanks
@@tonisarajevo2783 Well a hot dog was like 20, meatballs 40, smörrebröd was at least 70 or so. But I went for small pieces of everything
@@ThreeStarVagabond is it euro ?
@@tonisarajevo2783 Nah, DKK, Danish crowns
❤❤❤❤
Hotdog: OMG what have you done with all the toppings Remolade ketchup mustard
I'm just not much of a toppings guy... I could have had a little bit of ketchup though!
That's the saddest damn hot-dog I've ever seen!
Haha! I'm to blame - I wasn't in the mood for any interesting toppings
@@silashammerum7713 My hot dogs are always pathetic and plain. I like them with just bread and sausage!

Such lovely thumbs you have! But you're pointing them in the wrong direction - let me show you how to do it: 👍
haha..that’s not supposed to be a thumbs up…lol🤣
