I live in Norway. The only KENYA I have seen on the national TV here is Kibera slums. Only Africans can tell their own stories through their own eyes. Great work bro!
👍👍👍👍👍
True! Stayed in Italy same thing then moved to Spain same same!
Right, alot of countries got slums or possibly worse just homeless people. America lots of homeless or tent cities. Does Norway have homeless people? Ylls government gives out money to everyone right?
@@stepfrom1500 ofcourse but the government usually takes care of that👍🏽
😂😂😂.....That is sad
Wow! Karen is so beautiful! Kenya is beautiful! Hongereni jirani zangu wakenya! Love from Tanzania.
Asante Jirani.
You can't see anything unless you hoover up above.
Anyone who wants 'to grow up and live in Karen' can just plant trees in their land (Edit : or balcony , or kitchen) and be patient. Create your micro-climate where you are. The whole of Africa should look like this.
😁😄
Those were the exact words used by Wangari Maathai, that the difference between Kibera and Lavington or Karen is just trees.
A very good comment from my wise sister
Yeeesssss!!!
Jaribu hivyo mahali kama Umoja, your trees will become hangers for wet clothes....XD

I just saw a documentary about slums in nairobi, so consider yourself lucky. Im European and i have one room more than you do. But thats enough. Those women in slums cant provide food for their kids. How can that be normal?!
It feels lucky to have someone help us tell our own story. Despite some few ugly setbacks.. kenya is a beautiful country and has a lot to offer... I always feel so passionate and patriotic to my country Kenya 🇰🇪 🇰🇪 🇰🇪

Doreen Onekalit people outside always get from the media about Kenya being corrupt and think that hakuna kazi inafanyika. Forgetting that almost every country has it’s corruption cases and us they hear about them because we tring to find it and our media open minded

Excellent, thanks very much. My parents and I was born in Nairobi Kenya, but had to leave in 1975 for the 🇬🇧 and haven't returned yet. Hopefully will visit my birth place again soon. We have a special place for a 🇰🇪 in our hearts.💕🇬🇧🇰🇪🇮🇳 We have had the best of Kenya, UK and India.
Welcome back home
Love your videos from Virginia Beach USA. Hope to visit Kenya next year!
You most welcome to My City.
Beautiful video for a beautiful place, i like Karen green like that bro. From Johannesburg SA
You produce such great content! Thanks for sharing from USA!
Welcome home darlin 😊
Thank you, you most welcome.
We hope for more bcz there are slums coming up in Karen. That's the other side of the story which can spice up his stories more so that we can get the whole picture and how uncontrolled capitalism is creating slums in Kenya.
@@murimikaburu1376 There's already plenty of those unfortunate poverty stories from white TH-camrs who solely come to Africa to showcase these unfortunate scenarios so allow our Kenyan brother to showcase the good places and positive stories from Africa and Kenya in precise for us.
The greenery is beautiful, the rest of Kenya should ensure spaces are occupied by trees not rubbish billboards and bare land

True man lets focus
I am not sure how I ended up here, perhaps it was home beckoning me. You see I was born and raised in Karen until the age of 12, when I had to leave abruptly and go make a home elsewhere. That was 50 years ago. I have not had the opportunity to go back.
Watching this video, Karen has changed tremendously. The small village feel is gone, with so much over growth and back to back housing. Nothing stays the same as time goes by. But I wish every day that I hadn't been made to leave my life in Kenya. Yes, despite living in the west, my heart still considers Kenya to be my country. As they say, the hearts wants what it wants.
Thank you for the video.
Thank you for showing how beautiful our country is🇰🇪.....
Damn girl! You are beautiful in this beautiful country
You have made me understand and know Nairobi More than I thought..na kweli hii Nairobi kuna wenye wana survive wengine wakiishi.. keep it up for good work bro
The way you did the drone flight on this video is top notch , when I grow up I want one of those Karen mantions 😁
Thanks Bro, will still be coming for some skills... Dreams are valid, just push the hustle
You're looking well, brother. It's very posh. Thanks for the tour.
Karibu Brother.
I see plenty of empty parcels of land, so that means there is still enough space for you and I. Let's get to work then!

Thank you for showing us around Nairobi...the world need to see this beautiful progressive city.
Thanks
Karen Estate lies seventeen kilometers west of the city centre and is one of a few Nairobi suburbs where tall jacarandas loom large, straddling long driveways onto huge mansions with plush gardens. It hosts diplomats, powerful business people, the upper strata of Kenya’s political class, expatriates, and much of Kenya’s privileged white, Asian, and Black populations.
I lived in this beautiful Karen area. It useful to be haven on earth. Most houses were of colonialist architecture design. The beautiful well maintained garden and a kayaper fence surrounding five acre plots looked stunning. Now all those have been subdivided into half acre plots. It seems somehow crowded now.
Like it should
😍😍..Ngai fafa! Kenya yetu...I like! Good job African traveller. We appreciate.
I have great memories of Karen. Thanks! You make us proud!! Now not as homesick as before!!

This video has really hit home. Especially when you were driving through Ndege road. I grew up in Karen and I can attest, its an amazing and tranquil place to live. Sadly, I'm grown up now and moved away but folks still reside there. Good job sir, Afrikan Traveller is really doing well.
Thank you, glad to bring back the fond memories.
Is Ndege Road the airport road?
We are building such houses in the rural villages, leave alone within the cities
The trees make the place look so so beautiful from above.
I like how they have maintained them.
WOW, amazing shoots! Thanks for bringing us the sneak preview of these havens.
Amazing images, that’s why I always say Kenya is unequivocally the most developed country in sub-Saharan Africa beside South Africa.
Good job as usual Afrikan Traveller.
If Kenyans could just stop with tribalism, the progress and development will go through the roof. 👍🏿👌🏿
Travel 4k that’s not true, you seem not to know Kenya my friend
@@africasbest1663 In my country when they say u look like Kenyans is an insult. They mean u are too skinny to live. Hope farmine and locust doesn't take control this time.
@Travel 4k in what respect.
Travel 4k do you read books?
@@patrick_kiago Things always look good in Kenya till the next presidential elections come around. Then is a no go zone. Apart from Nairobi I wish they could take us to Mandera county or Wajir county or Kibera. Instead of focusing in Nairobi.
One more reason I stopped blaming the government for my poverty.. Ati wahenga walisema aliye juu mungojee chini?
Positive attitude is the first step to executing change. To a certain extent, you are what you think. Other factors not withstanding of cause.
Well put!
You’re a brilliant man. All the best
I am Zimbabwean. Absolutely no clue what you wrote.😹🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼.
am I a correct but Karen is mostly an expat community?
I have been in Nairobi since 1988 n this is the first time for me to visit n see Karen from above. Thank you brother for taking me through Karen. Jaribu ufanye ya Kayole please.
Nitafanya someday Bro
Hebu niulize kwani umaskini uvamia hadi miti? Mbona kibera, mukuru na mathere slums hakuna miti? Look at this Nairobi suburbs?? You wonder if is the same Kenya we know
My grandma had a thatched hut, but her compound was clean, manicured lawn and lots of trees. It's all in the mind. I once planted trees along the access road to my place. My idea was to make a boulevard of some sort. One morning, I found all the trees and hedges uprooted. You cant change a pig.
Back in the day a place like Ndeiya had no trees, just shrubs. Today the place is covered with trees.
The slums are mainly temporary housing in terms of they weren't in the plan.
Slums are as a result of encroachers just grabbing any available space and putting up some sort of shacks
We introduced hanging gardens in kibra n they just serve to show landlords where there is space to squeeze another shack...Crazy😣
The video shows both ground and aerial views - great job. I haven't been back here in eons and the whole place has changed dramatically!
skies are open cannot wait to get home, as always thank you for telling our story, love and light.
Nice clip bro, keep them coming. Really enjoys your clips.

Good job bro! I have stepped a foot in Karen but from the video this place will comfortably compete with high end residences around the globe. These kind of neighborhoods don’t easily come by even in the US.
Thanks Bro, appreciate sana for your support.
One of the best videos you ever done. Keep going bro.
Thanks for sharing from Canada, miss Nairobi!
Beautifully done. I had no idea of the growth of this region.
The road with the trees is the one leading to St Hannah's primary. Usually such a tranquil area.

Seeing Karen from up the air is breathtaking! Good close up shots of the neighbourhood. I would luv to live there when i grow up😂😂
Don't worry. You'll grow up.
Thanks for talking about the no-fly zones (flight paths and homes of top government officials). I asked the same on your Runda video and some people really attacked me 😂
You were corrected. And you agreed you are a newbie to the vlog. The issue has been discussed a million times...
ハチドリ then how come you were clueless about the question I asked? If you don’t know something just sit it out man and feel free to learn from others. I might be new to the vlog (which is good news to the owner of the vlog) but I am a drone owner and a certified drone operator too. I’m 1000% sure you’ve never even seen a drone outside your browser

Very wise , when I saw the headline I was like you have guts to video such a place , with the knowledge how this privacy issue goes along. Beautiful stuff , Kabete should be the next stop to cover
True. Mtu anaeza ona nyumba yake ama property and decide to hit this video with a copyright strike and privacy violation. Before a Karen comes across this video, wacha tukule kwa macho 😂😂😂
Nice video. I wish you mentioned Karen Blixen under whose name the place was named. Her property is presently a museum.
Kazi nzuri 👍. Thanks for the info.

I requested for Karen again and here it is. Thank you 👍🙏
I do listen to you guys.
Excellent job as always. Was focusing on your background while driving, and wondered to myself, when will this vibanda phenomenon come to an end? I know it's a sensitive issue given the economic hardship with most Kenyans, but they seem to mushroom in every urban settlement denying revenue / rent to developers. Sometimes I think people use poverty as an excuse to take personal responsibility... Remember wadosi wa kibera?
I have a solution to that and need a partner in this regard.
@GATUNI MAINA is that question for me or?
@GATUNI MAINA well i am an innovator with a solution for outdoor retail spaces.
