    Ahhhh I'm glad you clarified that you can use Priority Boxes, just not Flat rate ones, I completely forgot those boxes existed!

      It’s crazy because they look exactly the same - I never knew there were two different kinds until I started on WhatNot😂 thank you for watching!

      I’m glad it was helpful!! I had the same feeling. It was comfortable at first but I learned that I just needed to just go for it. I hope you’re enjoying WhatNot so far!

    Why USPS flat rate boxes are not allowed? Whats wrong with them?

    • @closetbyjoelle
      @closetbyjoelle  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Since WhatNot doesn’t have a fixed rate/flat rate, you can’t use them. Poshmark has a flare rate of $7.97 so we can use them there, but whatnot’s shipping numbers can change by the order!🙌

      Whatnot does allow flat rate shipping, you just have to go into your shipping settings and create shipping profiles using flat rate package in the drop down menu. You can also specific how many items or weight of items you'll put in 1 flat rate box, so if you're selling something you can fit 3 of in a flat rate box, the buyer can buy 2 more after the first item before getting another shipping charge for another box. Cost wise, flat rate boxes aren't ideal for most things sold on whatnot though, unless you're selling small items with high weight.

    Hello, can you explain the free tape . Tjis is for military people?

    • @closetbyjoelle
      @closetbyjoelle  ปีที่แล้ว

      I wasn’t aware when I first started ordering, because it is free for anyone to order, but post offices will also often provide tape for you if you ask while shipping!

    Wait so you can or cant use priority mail free boxes?

    • @closetbyjoelle
      @closetbyjoelle  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can use priority mail, but not priority mail flat rate. The boxes look very similar, but they are labeled & you can order regular priority mail boxes online for free!

      It depends on the brand, but I have had the biggest success selling American Eagle jeans and Abercrombie!

    These tips don't work for everyone. I've been on a year and tried everything you mentions and only sold 307 items and a quarter of those were giveaways.
    And you shouldn't have to put your face on camera...not everyone who makes money on that app does it.
    I've done lots of giveaways in my shows and been on 4 hrs at a times and never made one sale. So giveaways can truly put you in a whole with whatnot to where you're paying people to take your stuff instead of making any money with them. That's just what happens when giveaway goblins want free shit and never want to support you.
    Never met amazing people on whatnot. You must be favored by whatnot because I have never experienced anything good from whatnot in the entire year I've been on

      Thank you for your comment! This video was made in October 2022 so a lot has changed since then. I had been on WhatNot a few months & had a great experience until about March 2023.
      These tips worked for me during that time but I have since parted ways from WhatNot. If you see my most recent “shows,” they were shows I had scheduled in advance and don’t go through with them, and it’s been at least 5 months since I’ve been on the app, buying or selling.
      WhatNot made a lot of changes that I was not a fan of, and they seemed to be promoting companies and sellers that I do not align with.
      They definitely don’t favor me - my best shows were in these first 6-7 months back in 2022 and early 2023. I’m sorry the app didn’t work out for you and I understand the frustration, as I went through the same struggles on the app. I’m personally glad to be done with it, but I do not regret making this video and have heard from others that it has been helpful, and I am happy for the small sellers who have (somehow) found success on an app that is extremely hard to grow on!

    Stay Away From Whatnot is my advice. Bad for buyers and sellers. Changing clasps to different designers, sourcing from Temu, adding new "vintage looking" pieces in with supposed estate lots. Items arriving broken or not at all. I try not to get WN involved in those cases but when the sellers encourage me to, I receive a full refund...not just on 1 piece, but the whole order. Then the sellers hate you! Sellers buying back and forth from each other. It's an expensive social event. Wanted to support women owned businesses, but I'm done. Overpriced everything you can buy on eBay with a guarantee for much less. I should do a psa. Dogs barking, cats and kids sitting on display tables...it's a hot mess.

      I’m in the same boat as you now🥲 it started off as such a great platform to sell on but now it seems to be more of a social one and WhatNot has definitely allowed a lot of shady sellers to take over the app!
