Qui-gon's death always brings a tear to my eye. I was young when I saw episode one but I'd already seen IV-V-VI so there's probably less nostalgia tinted glasses or whatever there but anyway... Over the movie I liked him, he was wise, friendly, noble and a leader rather than a follower, plus Obi-wan looked up to him. If Obi-wan looks up to someone, they gotta be good, right? By the end he was my favourite character and as a kid it upset me when he died.
Let's just say prequels were good, don't need to follow some moron losers bashing them. All SW movies have cheeze but they were good and had great parts better than FA. This is prolly one of top scenes with epic duel, music emotion etc in entire SW saga to date.

Playing the original battlefront 2 storming the Jedi temple as a clone jamming out to this song was the most satisfying feeling ever.
I used this song in the final battle of my D&D campaign on a wizard epic battle on the top of a tower under the moonlight. You know, when the wizards meet, before that boss final speech, the song started with that epic tone. The wizards staring each other with the wind waving their robes. "Here we stand, Gaaf", said the evil boss, "At the end of your days" he completed. And the song increasing, can you feel it? And all that epic wizardry and explosions culminating with the collapsing tower at the end, killing both'em. Holy geez that was a great finale.

I guess I'm the only one who likes all 6 movies and can look past the shortcomings of all of them and just enjoy this wondrous universe that was created. It's fucking Star Wars! :D
Edit: I kinda forgot I made this lol. But my sentiment is still the same, except now it's for the 9 main films and the two spin offs. The sequels are a welcome addition to the mythos in my view, they're all Star Wars to me.

Vader may have been the Chosen One, which he was, and Luke may have been there to kill the Emperor, but Vader was still the one to kill Sidious. Starkiller defeated Vader twice but he failed to defeat Sidious, just like Luke did. Vader was always the Chosen One they just didn't have the patience.

That's a rather simplistic way of putting it, go read the Darth Bane trilogy, it explains the concept of a Sith'ari - a being meant to bring balance to the Force. The Chosen One is a Jedi prophesy and a Sith'ari is a Sith prophesy for the same exact thing.
I heard that Starkiller defeated Sidious and Sidious even offer his head but Starkiller did NOT take it.
I wouldn't mind this being played in the new movie, if there is a duel in it.

And with Lawrence Kasdan (Empire Strikes Back) co-writing the script, I'm even more ecstatic. As for the new lightsaber, I don't see what the fuss is about. Crossguard lightsabers already existed in the old EU canon.

For all the flaws the prequels have they did give us some kick ass music and fight scenes

The force awakens does have flaws and? I won't get into writing etc cause I can sit here all day lol. Prequels I grew up with as teen and what got me into Star Wars and watching OT, games, reading comics etc.

I saw Episode 1 first in early 2001 when I was 7. It introduced me to the wonderful universe that is Star Wars.
TPM had flaws but it hooked me into Star Wars and I never let go from that day on. I saw 4, 5, 6 when I was about to turn 9 back to back to back. lol.
I always hoped that the Star Wars saga expanded outward (sequel trilogy, and the 3 Anthology films) and within (The Clone Wars and Rebels), and now my hopes and dreams have been answered. Lol.
I saw Episode VII twice just to have it sink in. I'm planning to see for a third time!
