Jim Nabors was very talented in many ways. He was a great singer, actor and did great comedy. He's been gone for a while now. He fit the part of Gomer Pyle great 👍. Well done 👍.

There have been a lot of deleted scenes in "The Gomer Pyle, USMC" dvds. I wish they would put the series on Blu-ray. They need to be unedited. No deleted scenes in the series.
I also miss Jim Nabors very much. It's hard to believe that he has been gone for 3 years now.

This was his Gomer Pyle singing voice. His OWN singing voice is lovely. They used it in several episodes such as the one with the legendary Carol Burnett

Thanks for posting! This is my favorite of Jim Nabor's performances from the series and was really disappointed when I found it cut from the DVD due to CBS' refusal to pay royalty fees. I've since discovered many other songs cut as well.

My favorite Jim Nabors performance is a 4 season episode from "The Show Must Go On" which was aired on November 3, 1967.
There was also a scene in the Barracks when Gomer sang a song to his buddies before he and Sgt. Carter left for Washington, D.C. for the Navy Relief Show.
They also delete Gomer singing songs in another 4th season called "Gomer, The Privileged Character" which aired on December 29, 1967, where Gomer was doing a show for a friend of Colonel Gray's. That was another Jim Nabors performance I liked.

P.S. I hope they put "Gomer Pyle, USMC" on Blu-ray someday. They ought to do that in the remembrance of Jim Nabors (June 12, 1930 to November 30, 2017).
