Carol called Jim her good luck charm and always made sure to have him on every season opener. Jim later credited Carol with helping save his life by searching for a donor when Jim desperately needed a liver transplant in 1995.
Brilliant this is just too much talent….and the writers! Wouldn’t it be loverly to have a show like this being produced to tune in to on a Saturday nite
OMG, I was wondering where she got that interpretation from because all the initial versions that pop up for "They Say It's Wonderful" return Doris Day's crooner version, lol. Thanks for letting me know it was Ethel Merman!
OMG! I was just listening to Linda Lavin singing "You've Got Possibilities" in _It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman!"_ on my iPod as I was walking around shopping today. That flop opened a year before this show aired, but produced this hit song and was a springboard for Lavin. What a coincidence that I happened to land on this now, after watching the Burnett cast invade Match Game, and the first song to come up was this one.
Carol and Jim were two incredibly talented people....,❤
This is when tv was worthy of your time.
Those were the days of fun to watch TV! Good clean fun. Great entertainment.
Such talent…both of them!
Carol called Jim her good luck charm and always made sure to have him on every season opener.

Absolutely superb. Both of them a class of their own. Together, just fabulous 😍
If we only had talent like this nowadays.

What a fabulous baritone he was. The sound came out of him effortlessly.
What a great chemistry. You two should of done musical movies together.
Never realize he could dance. Wow! He didn’t have a voice he had an instrument! What a gifted man. Love him and miss him
Saw Jim in person. He was a great singer.
I remember the Coral Burnett show being on TV in the late 60's as a kid. My parents loved watching it. My dad would always cry when Jim sang To Dream
It's amazing to realize what a talented actor, singer and dancer Jim Nabors really was!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
CATCH HIM SING IMPOSSIBLE DREAM FROM HIS SERIES
I cry that these two are not around any more.
Carol is still very much with us! She's 91!
This is so good, it's almost frightening. And Miss Burnett and her team came up with shows including gems like these ten minutes 279 times.
Carol's Ethel Merman imitation is EVERYTHING! :) :) :)
OMG, I was wondering where she got that interpretation from because all the initial versions that pop up for "They Say It's Wonderful" return Doris Day's crooner version, lol. Thanks for letting me know it was Ethel Merman!
The timing is impeccable
You could never imagine that beautiful sound coming out of Jim.
Looove It!
Just love them both together!❤️❤️❤️
Love this music! Perfect blend of voices.
These two are really fun together. :)
3:37 he’s so cute. 😊
What a fun video to watch, seeing real talent and they can even dance at the end!
Miss Mr Jim Nabors!! 💙
This is amazing!

Awesome!
I wish I could host a show like this on TV today with real talent using jazz. I can sing too.
Jim mentioned our home town (Sylacauga) but boy could he sing
4:30 I was actually laughing out loud. Oh man that was funny.
Not only a good actor, comedian and sweet h
🥰🥰🥰
@James I am doing very well. Thanks for your concern. I hope you doing well and bless
So cute I love them together 💚
LOL, the jokes about Jim and Mr. Snow.
Artists Magnifique!!!
You've Got Possibilities! A fabulous song by Charles Strouse and Lee Adams from the show It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman.
OMG THEY OPEN WITH SUPERMAN! WELL GOLLLLLEEEEEE
Wonder how long it took before they could do the whole scene without laughing
8:02 He’s so cute! ☺️
I bet they had a lot of fun!!
They usually did it without stopping. So, this was probably the only time.
Back when you had to have talent to be famous.
You know how hard it is to get on brodway
I think she’s got it! 😂
Jim carried the gomer pyle persona into this. Not needed, just be yourself when not singing the 5-star voice.
Almost criminal that Jim's talent got reduced to Gomer's mugging.
It's true they just don't make 'em like they used to
Was Carol pregnant in this segment with Erin Hamilton?
Charming but Carol should have let Jim Nabors sing more
You are right but it's her show...this was probably the first show of the season...he was always her first guest each season 🎶🎶🎶☺️☺️☺️🦋🦋🦋🎵🎵🎵🎵💥
@@janeiwasduncan8463 Of course you're right. But there's no comparison. Jim Nabors voice is magnificent and she has a character voice.
Was she pregnant at the time or is it just the dress?
Jim Nabors had a beautiful voice. Carol Burnett's show really sucked.
Carol Burnett had no voice.
I think you don't understand the difference between classical and Broadway singing -- she is quite good for musical theatre.
