I've been babysitting for about 2 or 3 years, and boy, do I have some stories! Once I was babysitting for a young girl, and we were playing in the snow (I live in WI, and there is lots of snow here!) When we got back inside, I realized that her nose was starting to bleed. So, like an absolute boss, I pulled her to the bathroom and cleaned up her nose before it got too serious.
I’ve actually had this happen a few times while babysitting. I remember playing w the kids out in the backyard and one of the kids running up to me and showing me the bloody nose. I brought them all inside put the other 2 kids in front of the tv and brought the little girl w the nose bleed to the bathroom w a box full of tissues and a clean shirt for when the bleeding stopped. Eventually after 30 minutes of heavy bleeding it finally stopped so I cleaned the kid up and checked on the other 2 kids and continued babysitting the kids.
I know exactly Handle a blood nose because I have this friend at school and she gets like blood noses and we’re having a sleepover and she got like a blood nose so many times likely she had won a long time so she knew how to handle them but I would also cause she’s got him so many times I had to help her and it’s exactly what the video just said on how to handle a blood nose
Thank you for this vid because yesterday Sun 28 Dec I had a Blooding nose and I got my tablet so fast and saw this vid and the blooding nose stoped and THX SO MUCH (I AM 8 YEARS OLD THX SO MUCH YOU ARE THE BEST TH-camR)
If the bleeding won’t stop place a tissue under the upper lip leaning up could make you choke leaning down can make you lose more blood 🩸 there is a nerve that’s connected to the nose in your upper lip!
If your parent thinks you're ready for the responsibility of babysitting, you might be ready at 13. You should really take a class like Safe Sitter to make sure you're ready. There is a lot that can go wrong when you're babysitting and you need to be ready. How to get a job ... start here safesitter.org/creating-a-babysitting-resume-accepting-your-first-job/.
When my step dad babysitted me about 4 years ago I had a bloody ear before when I was playing with the dogs the dogs nibbled my ear by axident but I'm fine now👍😉
Nosebleeds are common in kids between the ages of 3-10. If you are babysitting a child younger than 3 and they get a nosebleed, you should probably call the parents for help.
That method is more likely to cause the blood to drain into your throat. See, the ears, nose, and throat are all connected to each-other through tubes. If that happens, it can make you feel nauseous and even vomit.
Outdoor safety is really important! You need to make sure you are watching children at all times when playing on playground equipment because that is a place where injuries can easily happen.
That is not an approved way (according to the smart folks over at the American Association of Pediatricians). Please follow my directions in the video. Thanks!
No, that’ll just cause the blood to drain into the throat. Then you’ll have to deal with a vomiting child. In fact, there’s a video just for that. Look it up because you’re probably gonna need it.
My daughter is watching these videos all the time! She has learned so much! Thank you!
:)

Question how old is “older child” like could it be like 7 or 5
An older child refers to a child 6 or older. Great question!

once I had a nosebleed for three hours don't worry I have a bleeding disorder
If your nose is bleeding for more than 5 minutes, you need to call an adult for help because you may need to see a doctor.
i thought you had to lie down to stop the blood
Nope! Lean forward!

Have watched this before.
You know I guess what I think you should also make a playground video how to make kids not go to the playground when it’s dangerous
Outdoor safety is really important! You need to make sure you are watching children at all times when playing on playground equipment because that is a place where injuries can easily happen.
Last night my my sister nose is bleeding too 2 times

Please do one about a girl getting her first period aha
If you're babysitting and a girl gets her first period, call the parents and ask how they want you to handle the situation until they get home.
That’s tomato sauce
Nope!

Nah, you don't need an ice pack. Just follow the instructions in the video to help stop the bleeding and clean the kiddo up!
It’s not necessary, but it might help since ice can constrict the blood vessels.
