I love yr adventures..i loved the little girl...God bless u and yr wife for looking after the little girl which i believe will bring more subscribers to yr channel..❤❤❤❤
Was there many years ago. The Buddha looks the same. But were only a few house scattered around then. Were amazed that the town was gone but The Buddha survived.
Todd, There is so much potential for this area Where do see these Hmong Villages to be in five years. It's amazing how Mina is able to keep up with you. (or did she ? ) Thank you for sharing . All the best. 👍👍 Jim and Harriet
Todd I’m not sure I agree with the title it’s not worth it I went and it is a part of history and a learning experience Great room Todd and a great vlog as always
knot many jars but were there. Monastery still few places left standing. Like all your black and white photos. Stay safe and healthy Mina Neenee and Todd❤❤❤😊😊😊
😂lol solved that little hill,,and Mina had fun doing it,,so it was a winner! The site may have been somewhat underwhelming,,but it was cool all the same. Seeing and touching man made things that are hundreds of years old at the very least. That black and white of the pretty woman on the bike was excellent ❤ Thanks Brother Ttyl,,,Marlon see ya mina❤
Really enjoy travelling with you via your videos. Looks like Mina loves it too, such a happy little girl 😊 Black and White stills at the end are always great Todd👍
Lovely little Guest House you found there. Those stupas are amazing, and the big Buddha. They must have been wonderful back in the day. The Plain of Jars was a bit disappointing, but you made me laugh when you said "Where do we pay?" after climbing up the bank. Still loving this trip and amazed how Mina is enjoying it as much as you both are. She is a real gem of an explorer! God bless you all 😀❤🙏
Having been to the Plain of Jars sites in Phonsavan, which are absolutely worth it, it's really cool to see that you can still find some out in the middle of nowhere like this. That being said, I can see why the reward of these few jars isn't worth the effort.
Thanks for sharing your adventures! Love the aerial views showing the beauty of the villages and surrounding scenery. ( I agree - littering spoils the ambience). That Mina serpent though...😂
I will have a better look later on, but I guess the places you went to are cleared from UXO already? A lot of areas there aren't and are dangerous. Might be good to know for people who will visit the beautiful area there to stick to the paths and cleared areas.
I went to the well maintained Plain of Jars site and it wasn't as impressive as I expected. I expected a lot more earthen jars but was disappointed that there were less than a block's full of them.
@@NowinLao that’s not the real actual plain of jars site. You’re supposed to go through some real city villages to the site and there’s an entrance fee. I think you guys enter it from the jungle, back side of the real site. That’s why it looks spooky. You’re supposed to go through phongsanvah to the plain of jar.
@@NowinLao 2 weeks in cambodia then flying into luang prabang . From there very flexible and un booked . Probably train to vang vieng, then vientiane. Perhaps the thakek loop by car or guide .looks like soo much to see . What would you say is a must do ? Thanks matt
While you're in the LP area, I'd suggest a couple of days up in Nong Khiaw and Muang Ngoi.. You'll love it! Everything else ya mentioned are must do's also. A night on a river cabin in Muang Fuang near Vang Vieng if ya got time is well worth it also. Man!! Too many great places to list.. where ever you go you'll have a blast anyway.. Enjoy mate. Keep us posted!
Hi Todd, I think you must have missed the "main" entrance to Site 16. We visited that site last May and somewhere along that road is (was?) a little entrance, easier than what you found. Check 8:21 at the below video . There are actually at least 120 documented jar sites but only about 8 marked for tourists and many locations not publicised because of ongoing danger of UXO. But yeah, for most visitors these small sites are not worth the effort once you've done the main three sites. th-cam.com/video/IoF57yDRnsw/w-d-xo.html
Even though my son served in the Marines, I still have ill feelings about the US military and their lust for killing innocent people. Thanks again, Todd, for the journey and the sweet black and white photos.
We love the video, keep them coming. Interesting stuff on wikipedia about the jars. Love the wave from the balcony, QE2 would be proud. Love the Canned heat music, saw them in 84.😊

Hi Todd, FYI Last year when we went to Plain of Jars 1. In 2020 they discovered that the Jars were used for Burial. Take Care
An archeologist team needs to get up there and make this site a real attraction!
Well done, not spectacular, but you been to the location site, 4 of them,in a short space of time. Cheers Kenno
Gotta love that Canned Heat!

Nice video thanks for sharing.
site 16 was a very small cemetery because not many people lived at this hillside of the valley.

What is the purpose of the Jars? And I am thinking they are not for jam or vegemite.
I would play your videos just for the music. Well done. I see that step to the potty a problem at 2 am in the morning lol.
Cheers mate, thanks 🍻
