  • Margo & Tashira explore the motivations and challenges of quitting a traditional job "at a big age," the unique opportunities and perspectives this demographic brings, and the emotional rollercoaster of starting a business later in life. We'll discuss stories from women who have successfully made the leap, discussing both the "highs" of freedom and fulfillment and the "lows" of self-doubt and unexpected hurdles. Our aim is to empower and equip listeners with actionable advice and insights, encouraging them to consider their own entrepreneurial journey, regardless of age.

    I had my son by myself. I realized that I wanted a child at 38 so I consulted my doctor and specialist and now I have a 4-year-old son. For a black woman, I am not the norm, but I wish I was. If you want the child or anything else don't let anyone discourage you.

    It breaks my heart that so many women put up with toxic and unhappy lives and relationships on the grounds of their faith/religion. I had to remove myself from some people's lives because they are so deep in their denial/belief that it became toxic to me because I'm viol*ntly angry on their behalf and they just keep making excuses based on their religion/belief on why they have to stay in a toxic situation. If I didn't have my own relationship with God, seeing them would turn me off of God. My heart goes out to them and there are times where I want to shake some sense into them. This life is very interesting to navigate. ****these are my feelings 11 minutes into the video****

    I want to say thank you for talking about this. I have been going through a process where I feel alone in my journey. Yet, I know I am not. Thank you:} I know that I am blessed, but sometimes the "continuous adulting"; and, having to set boundaries (at work) is hard to do, but necessary. I have been so fiercely independent, that I now, want to increase my community and belong to a tribe:}

    Hey ladies, try writing everything you think you can do for each day of the week and in between that give yourselves two 30 minutes break where you do yoga, write, listen to music or whatever you think will relax you. While you do that, do not think about work or answer any emails or calls. I'm telling you that makes such a difference. Let me know if either of you try it.

    I’m so glad you ladies came up on my TH-cam. This conversation is totally in line at where my thoughts are now but I have no idea how to put things in motion. Tashira thank you for disclosing your cancer diagnosis because that’s the journey that I’m on now and I truly believe it came from stress. They can’t find any other way that it happened to me. Margo I also suffer from anxiety, something that came later in my life. I so badly want to change careers and have a true work, life balance but after working in the medical field for 30 years, I have no idea what that would look like or what that would be. You ladies are helping others in more ways than you know! I have now subscribed to your TH-cam and Podcast!

    Hey honey bunches hi to you both I saw the video and say watch just in the one third of the way I was like this so seriously sad how men come from incarcerated with a sole attention, which screwing up with women is mine of happiness for life for the purpose of being married with all that comes with it. It was very hard to hear these things. I am 59 years old and now divorce 17 years, and still no happiness for me with a partner I say this because of how men are behaving in the world taken back so many generations it’s almost impossible to believe in what they are telling us because of day one mom always said do you want the Cinderella story and it’s very hard to believe in, but we pray and move forward journey on with life to the best of possible of we know it, I would love to be open to it again but every day news proves trust no one back to the video to continue on so glad you ladies are talking about it we all just want to keep hope alive and find yourself some happiness with a partner so we don’t be meant to live alone I’m getting by every day really hoping for a changes but so glad to be single and loving my life with out all the mess and the ones we trust to fall in love with may just not happen Linda 💙🏡😊👍🏾😍👩🏽

    I think ladies, you should invite Jessiewoo as a guest to your podcast. Also, as a Christian myself, I find a lot of people in that community tend to be very ignorant, life and vulnerable in regard to relationships. Tessa also should seek a deal with youtube as she literally didn't make no money off this, and Tik Tok took advantage of that. I hope she can find someone to help her with that.

    • @lifenmovies
      @lifenmovies 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Where can we talk about the Christians that are ignorant because I got a lot to say. I do think a lot of it stems from low self esteem, worth, value, love, and from these hypocritical priests/pastors/decons/churches, etc.

    @margo you are funny and don’t even be trying! I gets a good cackle out of something you say every episode. I couldn’t agree with you two more about the amount of tearing down these blog sites do. I never really paid attention until the PDiddy thing. It seems like all they report is trash. I’m of a big age and sometimes a bit old school; if you don’t have anything good to say don’t say anything. But sometimes we all get caught up in gossip or trending topics; however, I prefer drinking my water and minding the business that pays me. My biggest take away in this episode is our life doesn’t necessarily have to be designed to stay on one track. We are allowed to pivot or switch lanes as we see fit. In doing so, we should give ourselves GRACE. I personally don’t see it as quitting; I would say realignment or tuneup as you would a vehicle. Hate I’m unavailable to make it to DC; but I’m looking forward to Chicago’s live event or even another city that doesn’t conflict with my schedule! ❤
