White man in a conference room. I choose the white man. I don't know what it is, but I have NEVER had a bad experience with a white man in corporate. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, it just hasn't happened to me yet. Something about women in corporate. I don't know. All of my worst managers have been women. I worked for a white woman and she was downright cruel. I don't really understand it, but I also worked for a Domincan woman and she was also cruel. Hell, I reported to a black woman who was talking to me crazy. I think it's because women feel like they have to prove more, so the weird their power like a wacking stick. Now don't get me wrong, 98% of the women I've met in corporate have been amazing, but I've only had problems with women in corporate so far.

Now let's ask us white people this question. I would have to go with black woman, not because they are nicer, but black men have sexually harassed me at work , one held me down and tried to kiss me. Others would make comments or stare too long. I hated it. I was young and that's what I got for being nice , gave them the wrong impression I guess. Black women I worked with were always looking for problems , creating them and blaming others. None took accountability. There was one I liked and trusted , but she was religious and like a mom to me. I am older now and no longer working in an office environment but I look back and cringe.

"I know I'm dropping the ball but I don't know what the ball is" is a word. After I graduated undergrad college I used to wake up in a panic thinking I was late for class or had anxiety around assignments being due. That passed after a few months of being in the workforce. Fast forward to now and I'm in graduate school while working full-time, and it's happening all over again. It's like I have PTSD from undergrad where I'm in fight or flight mode all the time; I'm exhausted.

My feelings are always on my face. I didn’t know the rules either. But others learned that I expect to be treated with respect.

For me it’s because every time me and a white woman are in close proximity lately, they have to say some variation of “Hot Mess” the worst one is “Hot Mess express” grrrrrr… like can’t we have a conversation of any kind without a white woman saying that. I just don’t wanna even try to talk to them again. If this is white womens # goal when speaking, it’s sickening. How would they like it If as soon we start talking all I do is say “Git er done” or “Gnarley”or “yeet” the entire time in a business setting..unbelievable! That is not even the worst thing they’ve said or done or said me. The ones with a black baby daddy are THE worst. Following me around wanting instantly be buddies as well as forcing me to see pictures of their biracial kids when we are complete strangers. Try living in a rural area and it’s a billion times worse.

Nara mom is South African and dad is German. I didn’t get trad-wife from her. I feel like they peddle stuff they’re not actually doing. They work while telling women their main purpose is to take care of the man, then the children. Lastly ONLY themselves to please the man who pays all the bills. She’s 23 her husband is 26, husband had a baby with a 28 yr old when he was 18. Allegedly he started commenting under Nara’s post when she was around 16-17. Married her at 18 in 2020, but articles reported she was 24 . I went down the rabbit hole when she first got really popular 😂😂

I think there is something to being told to tell your teacher or trying to resolve the problem yourself. As a Black kid, I never felt protected or like the issue would get resolved unless I told my parents or tried to resolve the issue myself. The school was part of a system that really didn't care about me. I think that has translated to my general disposition when it comes to any institution. I also think there is privelege in being white or having light skin where you may feel more protected so you are more inclined to tell teachers, or other authoritative figures and know that you won't be challenged.
