I'm glad that they did, because it fits the spirit of DK so well, bringing Mine Cart Carnage and its ilk to life. I think if it had been just a generic mine cart coaster it wouldn't have been anywhere near as impressive.
I love that Miyamoto brought up the fact Donkey Kong came out 40 years ago and the irony of it all. Universal Studios sued Nintendo over Donkey Kong stating that it was too similar to King Kong. Jack Kirby, Nintendo's lawyer, proved however that King Kong was public domain. The Walt Disney of Nintendo..What a legend.
My only criticism is the lack of Kremlings. Doesnt feel like DK isle without King K Rool.
Maaan, I'm so excited for this! Coming to Orlando in May. 😍
Do you have your tickets yet?
Is it at the Orlando location? This is showing the one in Japan.
Regardless, have a nice trip.
@@lordphinix3yes it will at the new park opening in May
@@Zaakro Yup! Got tickets for opening weekend. 🙌🏼 Can’t wait! Going to be posting sooo much footage. 🤣
@@lordphinix3 The one in the video is Japan, but the same land is opening in Orlando. Already got my tickets! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
I cannot fathom the amount of joy I have experienced watching this, I can't wait t visit once it opens in America!
Sad there's no Kremlings. I wasn't expecting it since they don't have Kremlings in anything nowadays and this park seems primarily based on returns, but some small cameos or something would have been nice.
I agree. Maybe have like a sign somewhere that says "K.Rool was here" or something. Maybe they'll add more to the DK area in the future.
Or maybe they could appear as mascots.
Hey if Pikmin made a cameo again then Im sure the Kremlings would. If there is one thing Nintendo likes to do, its reference themselves.
@@andrewg.3281 Nintendo has an irrational hatred for King K. Rool and the Kremlings I am afraid. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate should have put an end to it but sadly not even that could end their irrational hatred toward King K Rool and The Kremlings
The Kremling/K. Rool erasure needs to STOP 😤😡
Thanks for giving us this tour. Hope you can add this ride in California.
It’s coming to Florida!!
@@Pl_Neptune It is?
@@SG002yepp at the new theme park "Epic Universe!"
@SG002 Yes! The whole nintendo land, with mario and donkey kong included opens along with the rest of the new "Epic Universe" areas in Florida next may!
@SG002 yep, it's going to be there opening day of the new park. May 22nd 2025
Miyamoto is the Goat of nintendo, great presentation as always
This looks amazing! Can't wait until Super Nintendo World opens in Orlando, the teams behind all of this have really put everything into making this an immersive experience. Keep it up!
Me too. i can't wait it!
I love Universal Studios!!!!
I can already see Dashie going back to Japan and punch Donkey in the face in person. XD
He can probably do that in Florida too since it’s also going to be at Epic Universe as well.
Looks very impressive, but I’m very disappointed that they don’t acknowledge King K. Rool. He’s literally Donkey Kong’s archnemesis!
Can't wait for this in Florida next year 🤩
4:27 These are pretty cool bananas. AAAHHHHHH
HELP
Oh GrEaT hEaVeNs
*ÆEE*
Dashie is gonna have a Fun Day with this one, gonna meet up with his rival face to face XD.
DONKEY?!?!!!
The fight we have all been waiting for
This is really amazing. I’m so glad I was watching this. I hope that they opened up the donkey Kong land at Universal Studios in Hollywood who knows time will tell but either way I am happy that they’re opening up one in Japan.
Leave it to Japan to never change. Still that same old Nintendo feel. Love Miyamoto.
6:47 pikmin
I can see it!
the donkey kong country park has more pikmin references than k rool references..
I hope the next are is Zelda Themed, cant wait for my next japan trip/ first Nintendo World Visit ❤
I mean, going by the official and rumored stuff. The next land would be, of course Zelda.
And after a while, we’re probably not gonna get anything new like the idea was that Nintendo was going to have universal 3 land specifically since that’s usually around the amount of Pacific IP areas are within 10 years
so glad i lived long enough to see this even just thru a screen in half its imagined form.
I didn't even know this Direct was scheduled for today!
I wonder if the DK they interacted with was someone in costume, or an animatronic. Cranky seemed to be an Animatronic, right?
Nice to see Rambi, Cranky, Squawks, Funky (sort of), & Dixie get acknolwedgement. Where was Diddy, though?
Anyway, neat video! Thanks for uploading!
Pretty sure DK was a costume. And Diddy Kong was on the hot dog if that counts.
I’m so excited for this to come to America!!!!
Me too
So They're Finally Here.....Performing For You!
LMAO I KNEW they wouldn’t do K. Rool! There’s no way the Tikis are more marketable than him, even if this is based on DKC Returns.
We don't even see the Tikis anywhere, they're only mentioned by Miyamoto.
i hope king k rool is added somewhere in the park at some point!!! he's one of the most iconic OG Nintendo villains!! xoxo
I love the pikmin being murdered by the barrel at 06:57
Omg Dixie! I was weirdly overjoyed to see her on the mine cart ride.
3:08 When you just counted to J and know what's about to come next.
I feel like that was part of a Sesame Street skit.
I wonder how it feels to know that your creations were so loved and so successful that they ended up spawning its own theme park? A sensation of success I'll never even feel a fraction of.
I’m so glad that I got to go to Universal Studios Japan back in July as well as experiencing Super Nintendo World. However, it’s unfortunate that I didn’t get to experience the Donkey Kong area because of the delay of the opening which was originally for the Spring of 2024.
Thankfully I live in the southeast coast of the USA so I can be able to experience the new land area early at Epic Universe once the park opens.
As a DK fan, I can say that THIS IS DK APPROVED

"It looks kind of familiar..."
I am an absolute sucker for seeing contemporary iterations of offer nostalgic references to its previous incarnations. It's kind of why I love Final Fantasy XIV.
This right here is a perfect callback to the game that started it all for DK. I love seeing these sorts of things.
I will always love Nintendo.
38:42 That has clearly not been the case *Cries in Nintendo Switch*
The video it's now 11:02 long, what part did you put?
@@WERV2003 8:53 probably this where he says "[Donkey Kong]'s continued to evolve with each new system"
Where are King K. Rool and the Kremlings?
Would be mad funni if everyone in the park came with Kremling Krew related stuff when the DKC area opens, just saying lol-
Universal's Epic Universe needs a Kirby attraction of some kind
And also a Pikmin attraction and the Splatoon attraction!
At the very least, they could add a Kirby Cafe...
@@Mr.Feather130 ok I kind of doubt pikmin and splatoon are getting areas, especially since other attractions would need to be cleared out
@ I’ll be down for that!
@@justanothermollusk5829 if that's the only thing they would add Id be so satisfied with it
