Would you not want to cover the end of the tube with some cloth to filter the air? Reason to be connected to air intake is probably to get filtered air
Do I have to USE a NYLON TUBE like that ??? ..... YOU Said ... " HARDWARE STORE " .... So, like " HOME DEPOT " ??? .... I'm Thinking About Doing this ..... to My '06 FORD FIVE HUNDRED ! .... I Know WHY ... Your Doing this ..... but Will it Make My Car PERFORM Better .... Better, I Mean ( FASTER ) ???
The tubing is pretty decent and it's cost effective. In other words cheap. It will not turn your 500 into a formula one car it just makes it burn more efficiently.
@@tigiteasygarage9052 SPEED Isn't My CONCERN ! ..... BURNING More EFFICIENTLY Sounds ..... GOOD to My EARS ! .... I'm Going to shop Around 4 the TUBE ! .... It's that HEAT GUN ! .... I Would like to Know what it's CALLED & COST, If YOU Can REMEMBER ! ....

Smaller tube from firewall to air intake also creates a vacuum. Would that not be good to remove it also to prevent gunking up Throttle Body?

@@DeanMachine12 If you don't have a heat gun just use a lighter. rotate the pipe gently until it's hot enough to be malleable.
@@tigiteasygarage9052 Ok ! ... I Was PLANNING to BUY a " TORCH LIGHTER " ! for " HANDY WORK " ! ..... So, that Will do ! ... THANKS for the Info !
Why would you do this? I have a 500 with 120,000 miles and there is no problem with blowby. I have changed the pcv valve once.
Really…
This is not worth the time or future damage.
