    • @NorthmenStudios
      @NorthmenStudios 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@michellesmith649 eh…I can’t remember everything I used but I know for sockets I used 8mm, 10mm, 13 or 14mm, and a 24mm. You will also need some pliers and a 1 1/16” wrench with long reach so don’t get a stubby (this is for the egr nut) a flat head screwdriver, a spark plug removal socket I believe 5/8 to make thing easy, some gloves, and tough fingers. It’s not a bad idea to have a magnetic pick up tool handy and personally I use a magnetic tray to hold the bolts. This may not be everything but it most certainly is close. I’m not a mechanic so I don’t keep tools around usually I think I was able to get most of this at Walmart for like $40-60 just got two separate kits one SAE and one metric and two different drives a 3/8’s and a 1/2” with an adapter to downsize if needed.

      5/16 with an extension for the bolts on the manifold cover. 1 1/16 wrench for the egr tube. 15/16 for the mounting bar, 1/2 socket for the cvt mount bolt.

    Your video has helped me a lot with the Intake Manifold in my 2006 Mercury Montego! I have a couple more questions. I removed all the hoses and throttle body and found that the nut that holds the EGR to the tube is rusted badly and seized. I sprayed WD40 and also Pb Blaster, waited a few hours, and it wouldn't budge with my adjustable "thumb" wrench, so I ordered a 27 mm wrench online and still waiting for it. How do you deal with badly rusted nuts? My next question is, in your video when you were taking off the EGR nut, I noticed you were turning the nut "clockwise" to loosen it. Is this true with EGR nuts? Thanks!
