War of Immortals, an Overflowing Bounty of New Character Choices - Pathfinder's Incredible Options

War of Immortals provided us with two new character classes, a divine warrior known as the Exemplar and an undead medium called the Animist. These aren't just new versions of older classes with a few changes here and there - they are completely new ways to build your PC. In fact, it's many, many, many, I mean SO many, ways to build your next character. So many that I almost wonder about it being TOO Many options. But that's a question yet unanswered. Let's dive into the details, talk about some of the best features, and talk about what all of these selections mean for you.

For the Ikons, you can actually switch between them with a day or so of downtime. This means if you start with what you believed was a cool trio of items but then realize they have no synergy, you can just go back to the list and switch something, or perhaps start making use of something you organically picked up in the story (such as a magic item!)
I already have a funny concept of a Thaumaturge and Exemplar duo where the former will give his friend random things picked up on the road and give them epic backstories he just made up, which convinces to Exemplar to try it out as a Ikon. Given the divine spark, this enables these items to live up to the hype, much to the Thaumaturge's surprise.

I’m a little surprised you seem to take the “more is less” approach when you talk about your first impression of the new classes, yet you’re a massive fan of another super modular class: the kineticist
I haven’t looked at the new classes myself yet, however. I can totally see how a class with tons of options might seem like the value of each individual option is stripped away… but as long as the end result still feels potent, I guess it doesn’t matter.
