I appreciate using the scientific method to test products. I wish more content creators did this (for whatever the product is). Having a testimonial is one thing, but that isn't good comparison. Whether it's toilet treatments, or fuel treatments, or which toilet paper, or anything else. The problem is that it takes a little bit of an investment to purchase all the products and supplies. This is what the channel Project Farm does so well (comparing a variety of tools and other products). Well done!
We have been a full-timer since 2008 and have tried most brands. I would say that convenience is a big factor. The problem with an FBA store is that folks have to learn to order in advance. It is too easy to suddenly run out and want to run to Walmart to fill in the gap. So America should take our advice and order it in advance. You see that full-timers cant have auto-shipments because we move around too much. We solve that problem by ordering when we notice our existing package is down to 20% of pouches, powder, or liquid. Can't wait to try your final picks.
With Happy Camper you are suppose to put a couple of gallons of water in the bowl and sprinkle a scoop in and allow it to dissolve. After that you flush it down with some additional water and you are ready to go.
So a private label deal with Century Chemical? Seems like if I want Century products why buy a private-label version which invariably will be at a premium to the factory-label product. Not a ding here but a serious question. Rather than a change in the colorant, and masking scent plus Matt's label what would be any different here than what can be bought today?

This is a good video! I always wondered what the best chemicals are to destroy the smell and danger and corrosion of human waste in an RV. Especially for the cassette toilets.
Make something that will tame that grey tank odor(worse smell than the black tank. We boondock in the summer in the south for a month at a time before dumping)
The amounts of product being used is for 40 to 50 gallon tanks. This test is using that same amount for 1 gallon of water making it super on steroids concentrated and not a true representation. Otherwise we would have too put 40 times what we use normally to represent this test. This does not represent a real concentrate. And if that pod doesn’t break down it could hang on a sensor I won’t use pods cause of the casing
I know iPads don’t emit smells but for sure I thought I was smelling a zuper poop size cloud coming from this experiment. Poor Andrea on this one. Matt next super poop exercise get the lovely lady a dust mask with something sweet smelling. She earned it
For the sake of science, you should have measured the amount of water. If you are using the 40 gallon dose, then you are creating a super concentrate. Not "real world" representation.

We tried your Liquified product. It doesn't do anything for odors. It does a nice job of breaking down the solids but if you can't live in your RV because of the smell, it's a fail for me.

After several fwd & rewinds I think I figured out which ones were best 4 & 9, the only ones you said worked 🤷♀️ how was the smell? How about the toilet paper? Which brand toilet paper? That’d be a huge help. I personally use that white bucket one w the buried scoop, Happy Camper. Look fwd to trying yours. Lemon scent would be awesome vs orange 🍊 imo 😊
I like what I saw in a very small amount, it doesn't show the impact #4 and 9 would have on a 40 gallon tank. It does show that the other brands just don't work. I look forward to your new product.

I remember testing all the chemicals in mason jars, mixing chemicals together and recording the data. I was fortunate that my wife was patient while I had them scattered all over the kitchen. I found that 3 chemicals mixed together work best for odor, toilet paper and waste....nothing but puree comes out the hose every time. Holds up amazing in heat and cold.
I have a macerator toilet, so my solids and paper are already being broken down. My understanding of a black tank is it is a temporary holding tank until it can be emptied. Not a septic tank. I’m not sure how much I want enzymes breaking things down further.
When you went to pick up the camera with that spoon coated in dog poop I found myself ducking and moving as if you were coming after me with it! I'm glad we don't have smell-a-vision! 🤣🤣

To add to that Matt...In now, 3 years, and onto our 2nd rig, which is used. We have Never had a smell, using Happy Camper. The key is that plenty of water, is always your friend, and effective black tank flushing is too. Best of Luck to you with this venture :)
I was thinking RV toilet odor was one of those 800 lb. gorillas no RVer wanted to notice officially. In a way, this video does acknowledge something I've been concluding must be of at least some concern! I clicked on it thinking 'finally someone in the industry is about to treat toilet odors in a way more constructive than concluding certain RV toilets should be for No. 1 only! Suppose I find myself shopping for an RV mostly because I'm tired of autos that require me to look for and use Interstate rest stop toilets. How to decide what to buy? This could be a truly basic information source!

when the proteins break down it creates gasses. there wasnt a vent on the bottle so it pressurized. the tanks have vent for that purpose to vent the gasses. so all will be fine.

We had the big tub of the orange TST pods and they disintegrated in our RV just like in your package. I'm guessing there may be an issue there.
A second product that breaks down the mineralization in the black tank would be nice. I don't know if CLR breaks down Struvite crystals.

Instructions on the chemicals are to be added with water on an empty tank. Wonder if that would have changed results.

What caused the extra gas (that “champagne pop”) and could it cause a problem with the tanks?
