@5:52:20 Dan wondering if the Hunter’s Dream is the setting for the final battle really does lend even more credence to his foresight/predicting trait.
Because stories arent very creative anymore. It not too difficult to predict what trope or cliche will be used in stories anymore. One day we will climb out of this valley of creativity and witness a new renaissance of story telling by AAA publishers like in the SNES through PS2 era. Anything really good these days in this regard is usually found from indie devs
I fuckin love Dan's breakdown of talking to the girl at 1:36:15 "Uh yeah found your dad killing your mom killed your dad can I have some stuff?" The gentle flow and inflection gets me every time
It reminded me of that scene in Life where Eddie Murphy's character was reading one a letter for another inmate who couldn't read. "Your second cousin Bo died. So did your sister. Then a tornado came through, killed your mom and dad. We will take care of the your dog, as long as he doesn't have worms. P.s. The Dog got worms." I paraphrased it, but that's the jist haha.
I don't know if anyone has actually broken it down before, but the reason sickle cell anemia is so prevalent in black people has nothing to do with like a physical difference in genetics between black people and others, but it's actually due to the prevalence of malaria in Africa. Sickle cell anemia is a genetic trait that is determined by one gene, and you get half the alleles for that gene from your mum and half from your dad (alleles are the things that determine how your genes function). If you have two sickle cell alleles, you have sickle cell and if you have two non-sickle cell alleles, you don't have sickle cell, which makes sense, but if you have one of each, you have slightly wonky blood cells, but they still function normally and you don't have sickle cell. These slightly wonky blood cells (heterozygous for sickle cell trait is what we call that) are actually really beneficial if they come into contact with malaria because they lower it's efficacy in spreading, so it's beneficial to have a single sickle cell allele in places with high malaria concentration. However, if you're a child and both of your parents have a single sickle cell allele, you have a 1/4 chance of being homozygous for sickle cell (ie. you have sickle cell anemia), so if there's a place where it's evolutionarily beneficial to have one sickle cell allele, there's a greater chance that both parents have that trait, and therefore a greater chance that their kids will have sickle cell, so the rates become higher than "normal". That's why it's said to affect black people more.

I'm glad Dan was also one of those kids that are scared by literally everything. My sibling had to prewatch the Harry Potter movies to tell me when to look away lol.
I remember watching this series when it came out, watching every episode back to back wishing they'd all be compiled into one video!! Now I can watch it all over again😄
I'm loving how Dan sleeps in the fetal position and not just on his side. I love this. Stealing it. From now on when I lay with my better half it will be called, bi-fetal. Spooning is way too normal.
Dan talking about being afraid of being in water, even pools, because of the imagination of being attacked by a shark. It's nice to know that he managed to beat the fear of swimming in pools, at least while playing MTG in their 10min power-hour.
I watched this probably when it was released, and saw them fuck up the one third umbilical cords, recently got a ps5, ran through my first playthrough got the three cords and didn’t eat them… remembered I saw it somewhere and had to come back and see your pain. Me: looks down at my phone, as I'm currently playing alongside them in pitch darkness
The irony of the ninja turtles is that Raphael IS the leader in ROTTMNT, the new cartoon XD can't wait to see if they're ever gonna talk about it.
I loved this playthrough. I go back to it every now and again.
Ah, back when we still had series.
Yeah, I miss it too. I really wish they return to Eldn Ring.
youtube just doesn't like series
@@nickkennedy9034 That can't be right. I see lots of channels do series
They shook the TH-cam algorithm 8Ball and it said, "More MrBeast"
Harvest? Danganronpa? DDLC+? Elden Ring wasn't finished Ig, but it was a series. So it's not like there's none. But I get it, I wish there were more too
Arins victory over the bloodstarved beast was honestly excellent for 95% of the time, riiiiight up till the end
Remember making a playlist back in the day of every one of these videos in order to fall asleep to on school nights...Time's fuckin' weird dude
I'm glad Dan was also one of those kids that are scared by literally everything. My sibling had to prewatch the Harry Potter movies to tell me when to look away lol.
Oh I bet Chamber of Secrets messed you up lol
Arin: *loses tens of thousands of Blood Echoes*
Literally Everyone (including Dan): Wow, if only you’d gone and spent them earlier
I remember watching this series when it came out, watching every episode back to back wishing they'd all be compiled into one video!! Now I can watch it all over again😄
Ahhh my comfort series all wrapped up in one convenient video. Amazing. ❤
Still watching this. Through another difficult time ib my life. Thank you Grumps. 💜
I was literally about to start my 8th rewatch of this series so this is perfect
Arin's lack of aggression while fighting bosses makes it so much harder for himself... just get in there boy-o!
Sadly there's no old hunters dlc here but still I really appreciate this compilation!
"Oh, no if i'm fetal i don't have The Dreams" Is a sentence, Dan.
THANK YOU OH MY GOD. One of my favorite series from the boys.
8:17:00 I love how Arin's explanation shows that he's just as confused about what's going on as everyone else
“You remember this guy?”
“THIS guy?? Braine of Tarth??”
😂😂😂😂
Anyone else look up inhumanoids to see D,Compose and kind of regret it cause he's not as cool as you imagined
21:25 Unintentional foreshadowing by Dan, years in advance.
Dan saying is this all a dream, you have no idea how right you are
To be fair its not really in the cliché way that he expects it to be.
This was lovely. Really enjoyed having this in the background while working on my miniatures. Wind Waker: The Movie next???
I watched this probably when it was released, and saw them fuck up the one third umbilical cords, recently got a ps5, ran through my first playthrough got the three cords and didn’t eat them… remembered I saw it somewhere and had to come back and see your pain. And run through the same thoughts lmao
2:20 Ah yes, the loathsome Dung Eater
Can we PLEASE get a starbomb song of a hunter with like PTSD that just assults everyone who tries to help him 🤣😂
New album in the works so… they might
Full disclosure: this is going to be a backhanded compliment.
This was the playthrough that made me think to myself, “if Arin can beat a From Software game, so could I.”
Love you GG.
Same. Then I got my shit rocked and my ass handed to me when I played Elden Ring. So I’m honestly really proud of Arin for being able to get through the game.
I left this on for my cat before leaving for the day. I come back home, he's still in the same spot watching it.
