What a week of releases. I can highly recommend The Swimmer with Burt Lancaster. Seen it twice recently and loved it. Hope the weather gets better soon. Spring is here and someone should remind the weather of this fact. Have a great week!

I’ve heard that HMV is opening soon in Canada so maybe they will do the same in the States, I’ve been watching American TH-camrs and it’s sad that Best Buy and some other stores have turned their backs on physical media. Fingers crossed it will have a resurgence, take care mate👍😃👍

I was going to pick up City of The Living Dead on 4K but I popped into my local CeX just before I went into HMV as I had a few vouchers and got the bluray limited edition of it from there instead along with quite a few other Arrow blurays and 4 of the Universal Classic Monsters sets (The Mummy, Invisible Man, Frankenstein and Wolfman) I didn't have to pay a single real penny for the lot 😃

One Life doesn't release over here until mid-May. I really want to see that one. Freud's Last Session came out though, and I'm going to give that a look. That is a lot of movies for one week. Nice haul.

Hi Alan, I am debating on getting Witchfinder General and Blood on Satan's claw, i do own Blood on Blu-ray already but not sure about getting both on 4K or just Blu-ray as its a big jump in price between the two. Medicine man is a film i have not seen in donkey's, in fact i can't remember much about it, I do have a few films from Spain but didn't know about the code i=on the discs so thanks for the heads up on that.

serioualy why hasnt Poor Things got a 4K its probably one of the most visually stunning releases and it would look amazing in Dolby Vision I know you're not into 4K Alan, but as a fan they misjudged this one. Netflix did cancel season two of Wednesday but its been saved and will now shoot in Ireland as opposed to Romania. Fun series.
I watched Poor Things yesterday and completely agree with you, it all seems hit and miss with releases but hopefully as Richard say’s it will get a 4K release soon. I’m very glad Wednesday is going to continue, take care mate👍😃👍

Picked up Witchfinder General, Patrick, Poor Things and from last weeks releases Anatomy of a Fall, which is a great movie. Interested in picking up those Mexican movies at some point. Didn’t pick up Blood on Satans Claw as I already have a decent Blu Ray of it. I thought Wish was dreadful, one of the worst animated movies I’ve seen in a while. I have the limited edition of The Swimmer, amazing movie.
I didn’t need to get The Witchfinder General as I already have the first time around release but I will be getting Poor Things this week as I watched it yesterday on Disney Plus and thought it was very good. I think Disney need to go back to basics (fire most of their top management and start again) I need to grab The Swimmer at some point 😬 nice one mate, take care👍😃👍
@@kermitsghost i’ve been better, this is probably the best I’ve been since I’ve been diagnosed and considering I was diagnosed at 32, I’m 38 this year relatively speaking… Still alive though, so I’ve got that going for me at least. I guess it’s because I just feel tired constantly, between that, and wanting to turn into a corner and cry every five minutes, and not knowing why, you know usual BPD stuff.
@@Eva_HI can only imagine the struggle living with BPD, having seen it first hand and how consuming it is, I have enormous admiration for anyone who can face day to day stresses and tribulations, life is an uphill struggle enough as it is.
@@kermitsghost as somebody who has experience what’s it like for you when you see your wife in utter chaos, even though you know it’s not her, but it’s the part of her that somebody broke driving, hopefully you understand what I’m trying to say here? I was sitting and thinking about the complexities of me, myself, and I, and the fact of the matter is is, I ended out with a three-way breakage as opposed to one specific person, it ended up being three, actually maybe even five as I think about it. At different points my mum, my dad, their respective partners, post divorce and then my grandmother after she got plastered when I was 20 going on 21. At one point, I still thought I could have a functioning romantic relationship, unfortunately that wasn’t meant to be. At this point, it’s just me going through the motions and I don’t have any intention of sharing my life with anybody, there’s a certain level of incompatibility when it comes to me. All I can do as an individual is the best I can, and learn from whatever mistakes I’ve made, especially post diagnosis which is why I’ve worked hard on on my own. The irony is is the counselling doesn’t work on me. I’ve never found it beneficial. Even from the time I was 12 I’ve never found it beneficial, you can’t really do anything if somebody breaks your brain or you can do is alleviate the symptoms as best you can, that’s been my experience anyway.
Wish was an incredible flop in the United States. It should’ve been an old style animated movie not computer. I have no desire to see it. Just like I had no desire to see strange world.
I agree with you there Mike, they should have gone down the hand drawn route for the 100th anniversary (and resorted to old fashioned values too) in fact they should stick with that formula for the foreseeable future 😁 enjoy the rest of your week mate, take care👍😃👍

No misjudgment on the Poor Things 4K, it’s DISNEY so the 4K will be released later after everyone has bought this release.

@@kermitsghost i’ve been better, this is probably the best I’ve been since I’ve been diagnosed and considering I was diagnosed at 32, I’m 38 this year relatively speaking…
Still alive though, so I’ve got that going for me at least.
I guess it’s because I just feel tired constantly, between that, and wanting to turn into a corner and cry every five minutes, and not knowing why, you know usual BPD stuff.
@@Eva_HI can only imagine the struggle living with BPD, having seen it first hand and how consuming it is, I have enormous admiration for anyone who can face day to day stresses and tribulations, life is an uphill struggle enough as it is.
@@kermitsghost as somebody who has experience what’s it like for you when you see your wife in utter chaos, even though you know it’s not her, but it’s the part of her that somebody broke driving, hopefully you understand what I’m trying to say here?
I was sitting and thinking about the complexities of me, myself, and I, and the fact of the matter is is, I ended out with a three-way breakage as opposed to one specific person, it ended up being three, actually maybe even five as I think about it.
At different points my mum, my dad, their respective partners, post divorce and then my grandmother after she got plastered when I was 20 going on 21.
At one point, I still thought I could have a functioning romantic relationship, unfortunately that wasn’t meant to be.
At this point, it’s just me going through the motions and I don’t have any intention of sharing my life with anybody, there’s a certain level of incompatibility when it comes to me.
All I can do as an individual is the best I can, and learn from whatever mistakes I’ve made, especially post diagnosis which is why I’ve worked hard on on my own.
The irony is is the counselling doesn’t work on me.
I’ve never found it beneficial. Even from the time I was 12 I’ve never found it beneficial, you can’t really do anything if somebody breaks your brain or you can do is alleviate the symptoms as best you can, that’s been my experience anyway.
Wish was an incredible flop in the United States. It should’ve been an old style animated movie not computer. I have no desire to see it. Just like I had no desire to see strange world.
I agree with you there Mike, they should have gone down the hand drawn route for the 100th anniversary (and resorted to old fashioned values too) in fact they should stick with that formula for the foreseeable future 😁 enjoy the rest of your week mate, take care👍😃👍
