Freaking love this collection and layout. My only fear with having a collection in the basement is a pipe exploding and just flooding the place. Love the amount of care that goes into each movie. Wrapped in plastic and taken care of.

What an amazing collection. Cinema 1 in my hometown were clearing the Harry Potter ultimate editions for $4.95CAD earlier in the summer and I skipped getting them because they were missing two of them and I am running out of space. This year ended with less purchases than 2022 which I averaged nearly 7 physical media pieces every day. This is my 2023 haul: 594 DVDs, 719 Blu-rays, 43 3D Blu-rays and 109 4K UHD Blu-rays for a total of 1,465 physical media discs which makes it just a smidge over 4 a day.

What I found most impressive about your collection Tony is how neat and organized the area looked, with the movies even being in alphabetical order. I really love the movie bust(s) in your collection because they add the extra touch to the room. I have the same Predator and Planet of the Apes one, but I don't have the Rodney McDowell one (which is awesome). If you can locate one, you should add the Alien head one to your collection as well. The top part of the Alien head lifts up and it has a sleeve that has slits in it where you can store the DVDs between the slits (I think it holds up to 8 discs). When you put the top of the head back onto the Alien it hides the movie discs pretty well since it is like a "smoke screen" cover. It goes really well sandwiched between the terminator and predator display heads. Thanks for posting this video.

Wow Tony! That is incredible! I see you have protective covers over a lot of them, but it also looked like lots were unopened in shrink wrap still. In those cases, do you have another copy that is for watching then you keep other sealed? I posted a collection video several months ago and I need to do another one, but sadly, I haven't made much organizational progress. Your collection is incredible! You seem to be a true archivist.

Great collection. the basement already looks full, curious on how it will look one year later.
Just a suggestion, next time go slower with showing everything because I got a little sick to my stomach from camera movement, it was kinda fast, eyes didn’t get time to adjust before you showed the next section. Thanks for sharing

Wow. Just wow. I swear your collection grown immensely since the last room tour video I watched several years ago.
You could probably add a couple in-ceiling speakers if you wanted to upgrade to Dolby Atmos surround sound.
The collection got huge between 2019 and now. I have been out of control. With such a small space, my speakers work pretty well. I have a 5.1 surround sound system.

Hi Tony, Happy New Year. We pretty much have the same TV, 4K player from Panasonic UB820 and Denon receiver. I need a new Denon receiver though with Dolby Atmos.

So when you receive new titles to slot into your already pretty full a-z shelves to you have to shuffle every shelf along one etc presumably? That’s where I have fallen down as I have a fairly neat a-z shelving arrangement but new additions just stacked in random order for now. You have done a great job with your organizing
Happy new year! There is CONSTANT shuffling going on in the basement. I told myself that this year, I will need to remove an item every time I get something new. We will see how that goes.

Awesome room! Your surround speakers are way too high though. They should be at ear level when seated. Also pull your front left and right speakers from the wall

It will take me forever to see them all, but I do watch one movie every day for the past 3 years.
