As a citizen of a country where valve wont even sell us a steam deck, this seems like a very intersting alternative. i would prefer the slightly larger form factor of last years model + the new oled screen tho.
The thing that puts me off steam deck is the resolution 1280x800 IPS display. AYANEO Air has a 1080p OLED display and is much nicer. Wish steam deck had an OLED option.
@@ChigzTech I just got my Steam Deck about a week ago now, and I love it, but the display is super washed out dog shit. The other day I put it side by side with my non-OLED Switch running the same game, and even that had better colors. Great device overall, but Valve really messed up with the display. I get that not everything has to be OLED, but they didn't even include a good LED display. Also, the D-pad sucks on the Steam Deck, like a lot, and especially with diagonal movements.
They have a more powerful Ayaneo Air Pro with larger battery and 5825U which can run Switch at full speed. I opted for the Pro 5825U to get the most power I could since this will be my primary console for a long while!
A 7inch version would be sicc, long as the weight is kept down. Resist temptation to use extra size to add bigger battery and cooling on top of screen. Then too heavy too hold with comfort.
Just got mine but my rgb lighting affects will not save . I just have to do with the default blue static . The breathing google effect is not even there .
Good review as usual Chigz! Paying a premium for portability. I saw some of their pricing and with some of the top end offerings you can build a decent gaming PC for those prices but of course you can't take it with you.
Thank you for this video, I now know that the performance is not that great for me because I mainly wanted it for PS3 & switch emulation. I'll wait for the Aya neo 2 next sense performance will be way better & the battery will be interchangeable & can be charged mean while you got the 2nd battery🔋ready to use
No heat issues - the system will dynamically adjust fan speed to keep the system running within spec. If you run at high TDPs the Air will get warm/hot but again that all depends on how much you push the system.
Ok.. thanks. I'm struggling to choose between this and onexplayer mini amd. But, if the batt can't even play for one hour, then I will buy onexplayer. Playing game for one hour still not enough. Usually I play for 2 hours.
@@seanjoe1704 Battery life will directly depend on how hard you push the system and which model you get. If you get the Pro model with larger battery it can get up to 3 hours if you play old retro games or light indie games at minimum TDP.... but once you start raising up that TDP battery life will drain faster. You can also easily just bring a portable battery charger as well if you're concerned about draining battery too soon.
why do you need game pass on this it can play any pc game you want and can emulate basically any system up to the wii u and the nintendo switch as well as ps3 and xbox 360

Of all handhelds I think this is the best design, I can't wait for the Air Plus 6800U version
Awesome chigz..😁😁😁👍👍👍
Thanks Patrick 👍
Looks great in that compact shell but maybe that's caused it to be slightly under powered? I'd rather a steam deck tbh

What happened to the pro and cons?
With a super thin hdmi cable, you could hold the machine as a controller.
how did you even navigate to the RGM lighting effect menu? I don't see it, i need instructions.
Just curious bro i just started the boot up and it's been on just a moment screen for like 20 mins do you recall how long the start up was for you

hello sir, could you do comparison with onexplayer mini? thanks b4
Will look into it, thanks
First game I would play is Mario kart wii on dolphin emulator
Yessss!
Why play PSP at 8x? 4x is 1080p, and anything will play at 8W at 4x
is it possible to play valorant here?
is there any heat problem if played the game for an hour ?
If you can even play it for that long. Depending on the game, this thing dies pretty quick.

I wish I wasn’t broke 😂
Don't worry we all broke at some stage. Just work on it.
@@ChigzTech thanks man i will work on my self
@@ChigzTech can you upload a video of you using this on playstation now please nobody has any videos of that yet thanks too if you can!!! 🤙🤙
I would not try ps3 emulation even on i9 10900k, or 5800x. Its just not ready yet. Ps2 though is polished.
Thanks Much !
When you said OLED that's it for me 😅
Suh Dude
👍
Seems like a massive underpowered waste of money.
Why they opted for a cm of plastic instead of screen.
I actually really like this one.
Looks good to me 👍
Does Minecraft java work?
Yes

Great!
everything was amazing Until I saw the gameplay !!
Hello
👋
It's stupidly expensive.
No actually, at the moment it’s priced quite low. Especially for an OLED Windows handheld. They normally start from £1000.
Nice!
So basically PS3 and PS Vita Emulator is horrible on this Handheld
Good review, not impressed with the cpu, battery life sucks especially for its 5.5 inch screen size
Bro plz check Xbox game pass this console
why do you need game pass on this it can play any pc game you want and can emulate basically any system up to the wii u and the nintendo switch as well as ps3 and xbox 360
So cheap
waiting aya neo without joystick nor dpad, just like todays smartphone with huge fast charging battery
Overpriced and Already outdated.
agree, steam deck is better and cheaper
@@matejamicic3037 But bigger in size. Ayaneo air is really portable.
@@KazakhBoy that's the only advantage
@@matejamicic3037 The screen is way way better on the Air. Makes a huge difference .
