Now, that's exactly the piece of equipment that you need! Who cares what color it is as long as it prepares the seed bed like you want it. Old equipment really gets it done for small average farmer. Nice purchase!
@@FarmallFanatic are you running an inline filter in that farmall? also how do i wire a negative alt. on a positive ground tractor? i have the alt installed and wired correct but dunno weither to put the chargin wire on the positive or neg side of the batt.
Seeing as how you have John Deere in the title I’m going to mention older tractors here! Had a neighbor that had a JD A and a JD 720 he had transmission problems with both! Constant! Wouldn’t go out of gear had to remove the plate to fix it! Pain in the ass! Never once have I had a problem with any Farmall I’ve ever bought used! EVER!
Me either, I had A656 diesel that the linkage would get stuck and you would have to tap it with a Flathead screwdriver and hammer but that was the only scenario I have ever had a problem
Nice find with that cultimulcher. It looks to have leveled that ground out really nice. The 756 looks much better with a muffler on it. The old "H" & 2 bottom plow looked to be a couple more really nice things to aquire. Thanks for the ride along. Stay safe.
I sure love old tractors, regardless of color. I sure like hearing those farmall work, makes me miss my H. I didn't gave enough work and with three other tractors I couldn't justify keeping it. To bad I didn't realize a good manifold gasket makes all the difference in the wold. On better lighter news, at least some things don't change. People are used to seeing red having to drag green around the field. Lol. Thanks for showing your beautiful equipment.
I looked into getting a cultimulture but for our area It was recommended to save my money for rolling baskets setup. They told me that our clay soil would pack to much. It has been net to see how other areas of the country find what works best for the soil they have.
Don't know if everyone knows this but on these older tractors the engines where designed to run on leaded fuel. I use a lead additive mixed with my fuel so the valves don't get burned.
Thanks for taking me along for a ride. You have some nice equipment my friend. Looks like it did a pretty good job. Great video my friend and thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful day.
Farmall won? To me looks like they were working together quite nicely! We are in the market for a new tractor or part that will serve our needs with our current tractor. I am learning about different parts etc. so I can hold my own with hubby when discussing it.😊 That is a beautiful piece of land. We live in the middle of rural farming country so there are fields of corn and other crops as they are harvested and replanted all around us. Thanks for the video, I am going to take a peek at a few more in the morning.

Hi Farmall, it is sad to think they don't do them the same anymore...my dad used to have little truck, his parents bought it when he was 18 and he sold it over 20 years later, not a bit of rust anywhere...soil look pretty dry now, hope you will get a good crop this year, cheers
Placing a good heavy magnet on the bottom of the fuel tank towad the back away from the tank outlet will help keep rust from entering the carburetor old 60 70 year old tractors usally always have some rust in the tanks.
Lol i put that to rest years ago here with farmalls pulling deere mowers and hay rakes lol . And a quick 1980s history lesson was when IH was working on their new Farmall Tractor for post 1985 that would have been a 200 Horse MFWD. The Guys in the IH R&D had went to Deere and had Deere Engineer and Design them a PowerShift Trans for the New Farmall . It was a very well built Trans and the IH guys said the problem was it was way to expensive to outsource to deere to build it
I think your soil is easier pulling than ours. We tried to pull a 14' 4500 vibra shank with a Super MD and it wouldn't pull it. In good soil it would, but it just didn't have the traction. I think with loaded 13-38 tires it would. 12-38s are too small for a Super MD. Same with the Super W-6and W-400s. The 16.9-30 tires aren't enough. 18.4-30s are better.
My dad's M, didn't have t/a, so when he put it together he the rear end is from a Farmall 450. Same as the MTA. The next generation. A Farmall 400 is an M with different sheet metal. The 450 was the MTA . Just with different sheet metal.
could you possibly do a video on a farmall H carburetor adjusment im getting my carburetor back on friday and this will be my first time adjusting it on my own as im only 15 and just started im kinda green and it would help out alot keep up the great videos
Love all the equipment man, I have some old stuff I still use and it works wonders, great job on this field looking good. I like the plow better really cool stuff.
Nice cultimulcher man!! Score with the cylinder. I never understood why tillage implements don't come with cylinders on the used market. It's just strange. It's like selling potato salad without the potato. Looks like she does a nice job pulling it!
I noticed that New Generation John Deere tractors are usually missing 3rd links off the the three point hitches....Don't even try to price a replacement at John Deere
Dust in this case maybe better than mud? And Yes to the green. Although you said you didnt mind the green implements so I wasnt too shocked. Yea it was a bit of hazy ride there, I almost could taste the dust.
Grew up on John Deere's, Olivers, Farmall's, and Fords. Back in the day, from 20's to the 60's, Those 4 were pretty much equal with the exception of Oliver always being away ahead of the times in designs and functionality. I hope you do a video on rebuilding that carb. I think I may have to do the same on the wife's Farmall! Have a good one!
Red up front, green in the back. Probably the best combo.
Painting carburetors retains heat. That's why they weren't painted when new.
Shouldn't be any heat on or in a carburetor.
I came here looking for a tractor showdown lol. Dirts looking good, what's going down?
I was gonna have a tractor showdown, but didnt want to completely embarrass John Deere tractors, so I just mildly embarrassed em 🤣

Not being sarcastic. But how much gas would you burn per hour compared to a diesel tractor of the same horsepower??
Depends on the diesel. I can tell you my Perkins diesel doesn't use any fuel well it does but you know what I mean.
