Update CPKC 2816 is finally back in the states it arrived in Laredo yesterday on Tuesday June 11 and will continue on to Rosenberg to Houston as she retraces the same route back through Louisiana Oklahoma to Kansas City
Extremely good shots man. Glad you posted the video. I recognize the two people getting off of the BNSF Train at 21:00. That two of my crew members from BNSF Dayton Yard.
@@TravisCyprien thank you very much that’s pretty cool that you work for BNSF
Awesome video Ryan! Glad you got to see an chase 2816!
Me too I’m debating if I wanna chase it back north or not I will have to wait and see if not I’ll catch it again when it comes back in the fall
Must have been awesome seeing the Empress! Hopefully this won’t be the only time it runs.
Thankfully it won’t my friend who took me on the trip said she will make another trip to the south this fall she’s going to have 4449’s water tender for the rest of the year should be returning back north on June 16 and heading to Silvis Illinois for some trips on Iowa interstate sponsored by the Heritage railroaders of mid America
@@TexasRailfan21-RailfanRyanI Can't Wait
@@TexasRailfan21-RailfanRyan On the iowa interstate is so hype. I live in iowa city so that would be great to see her again. Went to davenport to see it
Nice to see the good track and fast speeds in Louisiana. I was at Ft. Polk, LA (near Leesville) in late 1972 and early 1973. Bad track and frequent derailments on the KCS in those days.
Very cool
Nice CP 2816 Steam Engine Passenger Train I Caught CP 2816 Cross To Rosenberg Tx

Did y’all hear 2816 change horn sounds at 19:27?
*Whistle*
#2816 has two different whistles, an air-blown five chime and a steam-blown six chime.
I’m glad you caught that that was by far my most favorite run of 2816 in my entire chase what an amazing show of blowing both whistles through the little town of Liberty, Texas
27:49 Unfortunately, it wasn't a safe travel....... You all know the news about what happened so I'm not going to say it.
Yes I know what happened I’m not gonna say either out of respect all I know is 2816 will continue to operate this is not the end of her career
