They have really found the balance between making an 80 remake and turning into its own show. It’s not easy with such an incredible iconic movie series.
Most actors become really good friends when they're in a project together because otherwise they'd go crazy working together for months or years at a time. The cases like Tom Cruise & Kelly McGillis absolutely hating each other during Top Gun are the exception, not the rule.
I heard that theres a tension between them during the karate kid era but when they reunite for cobra kai they've left it all in the past then start over again.
I don't recall seeing William Zabka in anything since Karate Kid 1984. I'm amazed at how good an actor he is in Cobra Kai. No one delivers a dry, clueless, hilarious one-liner like him!
He did some well known movies after Karate Kid, like just one of the guys, back to school, national lampoon's vacation but faded in the late 80s and early 90s was doing low budget stuff. But you're right he's great at what he does
