Hello, very pleased watching your diagnostic demonstration video on the LG front load washing machines. I acquired a LG front load machine model number wm2301hr that doesn't work. The machine won't even power up when plugged into 110 volt acquired outlet. I'm not a professional electrician but do have some knowledge and experience with ac and dc circuit's and mechanical knowledge. With my diagnostic troubleshooting and research led me to a fault in the PCB main control board due to the blown fuse in that control board. I replaced the fuse with the exact specs and tested. About 5 seconds of plugging the machine in, a thermal resistor began to smoke and I cut the power immediately. The fuse didn't blow and the resistor didn't blow. My understanding told me there's a internal issue or short in another circuit within the control board. I ordered another control board used in working order with matching serial numbers. I also ordered the upper user interface PCB boards as well. I will receive the parts on Monday. I'm wondering about the direct drive motor stator and hall effect sensor. I disassembled the motor and stator assembly from the tub and it visually looks like new. I'm thinking with caution to leave the motor unplugged when installing the PCBs during power up, the user interface should display the appropriate code for motor fault with it being disconnected. I'm definitely needing help activating the diagnostic mode for my particular model as you mentioned the differences between different models. Please let me know how to contact for help with these issues directly. Thank you
You can always send me your contact details through the website I'm sorry I can't put my phone number on here as I would get inundated. Also you said you're on 110 voltage so please leave the appropriate time to call based around GMT.
@allanconner1406 I've learned everything from TH-cam because my dad owned a business and never really taught me how to fix things. He was the best. That stuff just wasn't his thing. As far as my washer goes, it is very old, and it didn't scroll down so I could read the rest of the diagnostics. I pulled the whole thing apart for the 3rd time, drained it 3 times, and ran tests 3 times. What I figured out since it wasn't engaging the drain pump that I just bought is that I accidentally reversed the wires connecting to the pump. Nothing else was blocked, but since I didn't mark the wires and when I put them back, I had to guess... I guessed wrong. Lol. Thank you for the video. It helped me sort it out.

Hi, I've watched various videos of yours and are really useful however, a new washing machine we have is the LG F4C510GBTN1. I can't seem to work out how to put this into Diagnostics mode. On previous models such as the F1456QD, you would press and hold the two centre buttons like in the video above but on the F4C510GBTN1, there's only a power and play/start button. Anything you can do to help would be appreciated. Thanks
I have a WM3670HWA that does not come with hall sensor. Reset did not correct issue. PWB assembly (rd4) test good. In test mode it jerks around and sounds like a scratching record going round. LE error trouble shooting stator 11 ohms across any combination of two of the 3. Motor wire harness continuity all test good. Rotor magnets in excellent shape and spines intact. The sound is the same as your hall sensor video but again no hall sensor on this model. Spins freely by hand inside and at shaft in back. Bearings quiet and smooth. No signs of wear. Rechecked everything and reassembled, still get e error.
Got OE code on my LG. After replacement the pump on my LG Wm3273cw still not draining. Did diagnostic test 1 through 8 Worked fine, 9 or 10 shut off the machine What is my next step. Thanks Dennis Please help

Quick question. I spend large periods away from home, what is the best way to ensure complete drain down and no standing water in a washing machine? Is the only option the filter/drain and leaving the machine door open?
I think that's the most logical thing to do. This will stop mold and the water getting stagnant. @aaaatttt101 please remember to subscribe to our channel as that really helps us th-cam.com/users/shortse432SAb2g08 Thanks, Paul 👍
Hi mate, let me quickly explain the IE error code. This error appears when your machine can't fill up with water in the given time. It could be due to a poor water supply reaching the water valves. You should check that the tap and fill hose have water flowing all the way to the valve. You can test this by putting the hose into a bucket and opening the tap to ensure there's enough pressure. You can also inspect the filter at the back of the water valve. Sometimes, debris can clog it and restrict water flow into the machine. If everything looks good, the problem might be with the water valves or something else. It would be really helpful for me to get my video shared and help us fight appliance waste! On newer LG washers made in 2021-2024 in order to activate the test mode you have to turn it off, then press 1st and 3rd button at the same time(usually it's "intensive wash" and "extra rinse" and then while still holding these 2 buttons, push the "power on/off" button. Display should start flashing and then you can cycle modes by clicking "start/pause" button.

This basically is doing that, it checks, all components heater, NTC sensor motor, haul sensor all water valves pump and recirculation pump fitted if anything is not working, then you should be seeing some sort of error code. The only thing it can't diagnose really is the circuit board and that's because this is the component that is running the test so it's very hard for it to test itself.
