This is probably the first ever comparison video between the three using clips which are equally good in quality instead of for example using professionaly filmed live footage from a dvd for Tarja and then comparing it to a crappy clip from a phone to show off Anette's voice or whichever way.
Probably, but she still struggles a lot to even sound decent on Nightwish songs that were made for Tarja ' voice. She's ok on studio, but live is a disgrace. Belting can be fine for a lot of styles, but not for Symphonic Metal songs composed for a clasically trained voice. She can't do a decent vibrato and lacks the technique to achieve most higher or lower notes. She could do it with study, since she's a soprano as Floor and Tarja. I know a lot of people got into the band when she was the frontwoman, but there's a reason why most fans are relieved she's gone and Floor arrived.
It would have been more fair to use Montreux for Anette, though. When people don't use crappy phone camera audience shots for these things, they tend to use studio version like they did here. This studio version of Planet Hell with Anette is a good candidate for their best song ever (in the studio; set aside performance like Wacken 2013 Ghost Love Score) and definitely unfair to Tarja and Floor to have used without some kind of mitigating factor. Interestingly, they did mitigate the error, though, by giving Anette's best parts to Floor and Tarja.
I love Floor singing the high harmony and Tarja's the main meoldy. They match perfectly and Anette has the perfect tone for the verses. Oh God, I wish I could hear this version live with the three voices once in life
I liked all 3 singers, they represent different eras of the band. I think people really underestimate how TH was able accommodate and perfect the band’s songs to fit the different singers personas. Very very few bands have ever pulled that off in history, and ever since Floor signed up with them they have been better than ever.

I can never separate Tarja from this song. My first experience listening to Nightwish was watching Tarja's final performance with NW -- End of an Era. She will always be my favorite performer of this song.
I agree. All the singers are great, but Tarja brought a power and unique edge to everything that hasn't fully been replicated. The band hasn't been the same without her.
Tarja's version is best, Floor's version is my second fav and Anette nailed it too. I think this is one of the NW songs which sounds good with all three singers. ❤🤘
Tarja is the best. Floor voice does not fit Nightwish music. This band needs woman with voice like Jennifer Rash. Or Ewa Demarczyk. Floor has great presence, but not the might of the voice.

Having all three of them together works pretty well. They all add a different dimension to the song which just adds to the song's atmosphere. You could say that Tarja is the heavenly omen of doom revealing the corruption to all; Annette is the voice of purity trying to rise above the chaos; and Floor is the drive and will to survive trying to get the hell out of Dodge. I would love to see all three of them perform together for real one day.

Why are Nightwish fans always comparing and talking as if they were expert singers?, talking about techniques and all that stuff, if you were real singers you'll realize how this three amazing woman are great singers. Just be grateful this song is in three different versions ❤
I would not talk about techniques. I am not a singer, to say the least. I cannot sing a single note. But there's nothing wrong with my hearing. And there comes taste. Everybody has a different taste. Some like the operatic voice of Tarja, while others - like me - prefer the versatility of Floor.
@@rutessian A matter of taste. For me, Floor brings more versatility to the songs, which I like. I feel like not all songs are suitable for the operatic voice of Tarja. I am not saying she is bad, at all. On the contrary. I love her solo work a lot. But as I said, it's a matter of taste.

You are right, but if you let people compare, it is rather obvious that people think who is the worst in the comparison gets rather blunt comments. I did not like Anette either with Nightwish, but I think it wasn't her fault. She just does not have the range or power for the louder Nightwish songs. That's not her fault, she cannot show what she doesn't have.

Each lady is beautiful and talented in their own unique and special way. Tarja will always and forever be my favorite lady singer. YEARS ago when I heard Nightwish for the first time I immediately fell in love with Tarja. Ever since I became a Tarjaholic and she will always be my queen. When Annette joined the band I hated her voice and thought she was annoying because she wasn’t Tarja. Now that I’m older and more mature I can now love and appreciate the two albums that Annette recorded with Nightwish. And I consider Anette a princess. And Floor Jansen is a total goddess. I love her work in Revamp, After Forever, and Nightwish. I also admire Floor Jansens stage presence because you can tell how happy she is while playing live.
