    I am an HR working in a fast-growing IT company. The daily difficulties I faced is that employees in the workspace react to human resource management way different than the old days. For example, people use slack to communicate with each other. As an HR myself, the biggest issue for me is to retain talented employees. Tracking their feedback through employee satisfaction surveys once a year does not work towards my benefit. The Moodbit slack add-on, an Emotion-Sensing Technology using sentiment analysis and machine learning. that analyses and provides data about employees emotion helps me to get my work down more effectively and more accurately.

    How do you compensate your leadership team? Equity, profit sharing, commission-based? Specifically prior to the company really becoming profitable?

    • @danmartell
      @danmartell  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Salary (below market) + Equity
      I cover this here: th-cam.com/video/KD3ap-WN1Hs/w-d-xo.html
      Also have this one on using consultants for equity

    Hi Dan, I wanted your advice on best way to accommodate a co-founder. How to break down the share structure what is the best strategic way to deal with it
    - what are the key things i need to keep in mind?
    - how does this structure play a role moving forward when looking for investors.

    • @danmartell
      @danmartell  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A real co-founder usually gets 10-50% of the company ... depending on how far you are along, then it can be negotiated. Always ask them first what their expectations are.
      All issuing of equity should use a general vesting schedule of 4 years, 1-year cliff, monthly vest thereafter.
      Hope that helps.

    It feels like such an impossible dream to have a manager as self-reflective as this.

    • @danmartell
      @danmartell  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I guess that's a shame in the business world, because all the founders I coach MUST follow this approach.
      My mission is to help elevate other Founders leadership style to have a wider and more impactful impact on the world than just my immediate teams/companies... that's why I coach.
      Those kinds of leaders do exist.

    • @danmartell
      @danmartell  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dream in HD!
      Make it real.
      Everything starts in the mind (i.e. a dream) but it only takes one action to move it forward into something real.
      Do it.
      No reason you can't.... only thing stopping you, is YOU!
