I went through this with my nephew and my ex sister-in-law and my stepson's mother.....doing the right thing rarely makes you happy but you are so wonderful to be there for your niece....God bless you

It usually bothers me to let parents and older siblings to always get in the younger siblings life.
and it's like younger siblings are oppressed and nobody cared.

For some instances it’s the opposite but I respect this opinion, in this video though, the younger sibling should be helped or at least not have guardianship of that poor girl

So your sister is guilty of child neglect, abandonment and abuse and you let her keep taking her daughter back for years before finally giving in and seeking to protect your niece? Frankly your entire family is guilty of child abuse. You should have filed for guardianship the first time Rachel left for over a week, abandoning her child with you and your parents. That you didn’t doesn’t make you a good sister, it makes you a bad person.

She tried. It's always easier looking in than being in that position.

To be completely honest in the long term it would've been better for Clara to stay with her mother because in the end and aunt can never be a mother no matter what her true mother will always be the only one to truly love her even if she doesn't show it I'm not saying you are wrong like good of you to help her in tough moments just I think you overstepped a little ripping her away from her mother afterall a sixteen year old doesn't know what's best for themselves so maybe you wre hastey

From what I heard it sounded like Clara would have gone no contact the minute she turned 18

Clara was being emotionally neglected girlie. That is not love.

@@ghoste3991 I know I was actually about to reply she barely cared for her daughters emotions and pushed it away like “tough love”
