I like the knife for sure but... I've had that lock fail on me! It over traveled and stuck. Had to use a key to release it. It's also failed to lock, almost closing on my fingers! I "still" returned it for another! My advise, don't fidget it too much. It wears out the locking part of the liner AND, light to medium use "only"!!! Overuse can cause failure and a BIG, SHARP blade like that one can do some damage... That's been "my" experience... Just sayin'.
So like if I use it for light to medium use and only use the flipper tab to open it as well as once I get it open use the safety it should probably be good?
Just got one from Amazon about a week ago. And I like it, but the blade is a bit "Light". As for the Liner Lock, mine locks up nicely and I've no worries. Has the pocket open ability, so a very good EDC Self Defense blade I think.

You can "Wave" the Luzon out of your pocket too. By using the flipper.

Do you think it’s possible to remove handles and dye them another color with rit~Dye ?
I'd imagine that would wear off relatively quickly, but it's worth a shot!
Nope, the handle are impervious to liquids.
