You forgot the brazilian *Fiesta Supercharger* with a tiny *Zetec Rocam (Duratec 8v in EU) 1.0l* 4 cylinder engine and an *Eaton M24* supercharger.
The concept was pretty nice, but with the lower compression ratio (8.2:1) and conservative tuning to run on lower octane gasoline, the engine fuel consumption wasn't great, but it managed to produce 95bhp@6000RPM and 12,61kgfm@4250.
I built one engine like this with 9.8:1 compression ratio (the naturally aspirated gasoline version spec), the Eaton M24 with smaller pulley (pushing 0.7 Bar) and running on ethanol... I reached 114bhp@7000.
The fuel consumption was great due to the high compression ratio, higher blower speed (which raised the dynamic compression ratio at low revs, improve the power and reduced the efficiency at very high revs) and aggressive spark advance timing optimized for ethanol.
I put that engine on a Fiesta Mk5.

Oh yeah, but make sure to watch the videos at maximum resolution (720p or 1080p), because YT is screwing with the frame rate at 480p and below... all videos are 24, 30, 50 or 60FPS.
First time at track and getting used to the car... I was a bit scared of messing up, but eventually I got more and more confident.

The Cobalt never had a turbo 2.4 it was still a 2.0.
Right the NA SS option was the 2.4 and the SS supercharged was a 2.2. The turbo came last in a 2.0 GDI version of the ecotec.
I have a 1.1litre classic mini with a Super charger and I thing I love the most is you hear the supercharger whine.
And people look at you coming down the road with the whining noise expecting to see a Holden ute but it’s a mini

125ccm, CVT-driven, supercharged Scooters.
I had a VW G40 and the compressor was always ok. With 150.000 Kms done, I decided to make a compressor revision in the mechanic. He opened the compressor and it was like new. He changed only for precaution a little rubber belt and it`s all. Totally free of problems. It can appear problems when make tuning in the compressor for much higher revs..
And I used only mineral and cheap oil from Castrol, the GTX. My voyages in the highway were made at more or less 200 kms/h during several hours. Great engine!

Great video! I had a G60 Corrado for a time until I was side swiped. With a hot cam, head work, full exhaust and g-ladder updates, it was one fun car to drive.
The LSJ engine was actually used in the Saturn Ion Redline before the Cobalt SS was produced. I own a 2006 Saturn Ion Redline and it's a blast to drive, sharing the same engine and transmission as the Cobalt SS.

I had an italian friend once, who was also passionate about cars. I was talking to him about the lancia delta, and he proceeded to correct my mispronounciation of "lancia". I used to say "lansia" but it is actually "lan-cha" in italian. A little fun fact :)
Yes this is because in Italian "ia" after a "ch" or "j" sound is pronounced as if a letter "u" was there; or an "uh" sound. So, Gianni is not pronounced "jee-yah-nee" but like; "juh-nee". And a "c" in Italian is pronounced "ch" so Versace is not "Ver-sa-ke" it's; "Vehr-sa-cheh"... Juhnee Vehrsacheh . Luhn-chuh Fool-vyuh (Lancia Fulvia). A little language lesson :)
What I like to do is correct non-native speakers on the correct pronounciation of American English terms. It's funny that that is seen as a one-sided courtesy. English speakers don't correct non-native English speakers, while people who speak any other language are quick to correct "incorrect" pronounciations by English speakers. It always bother me, so now I do it too.

Have to add that the MR2 (AW11) was only offered with the 145HP version of the 4A-GZE. In Japan there was the Corolla (Sprinter Trueno/Levin) who received the 165/170HP version in the last stages of the 16-valve series. This was later replaced by the 20-valve NA version pushing out the same power (but much lower torque) at very high revs.

Notibly the Subaru vivio RXR 550cc was a supercharged rally car.
no actually. in Honda, Daihatsu, and Suzuki, they deisgned the entire engine for this light duty truck use.
the 660 supercharged is found in cars like the suzuki cappacino, it makes about 62hp stock.
the stock 660 makes 42hp. their really "torque" engines, and redline at 9k.
the turbo makes about 62/63hp aswell, and is more common,but doesnt handle as well for towing as its very peaky.
they are water cooled 3cyl's,some are carb'd and some have EFI. all the 660's N/A make the same power.
some have a few half points higher compression,some have it the other way.
they can safely make 95hp from the turbo model,and 75hp from the S/C model 100% stock.
they have made upto 130hp before.
keep in mind, the trucks they go into are 700kg. (1543lbs)
they are often paired to a 5spd manual, sometimes a 5spd + EL
they are often 4wd, with also featuring a 4hi/4lo/2hi option.
when paired with good tires and a 6" lift (which can both be done easily,and cheaply compared to other trucks) they become VERY capable UTV'S

i have owned a `85 polo g40 with a g60 lader on it , and a `91 stock polo g40 and a 89 corrado g60. The polo is such a fun "gokart" to drive .

The 4agze as far as I knew only had ceramic coated pistons, not forged ones. They were stronger than stock by far but also reduced the compression ratio a lot.

The 1990-98 Subaru Sambar kei van had an optional EN07 547cc supercharged four cylinder, the 1986-1992 Subaru Rex kei car had an optional EK23 544cc supercharged inline 2, and the 1992-1998 Subaru Vivio kei car had an optional ENO7X 547cc supercharged four banger, and even AWD. It was also extremely light, 1450 pounds, and it had some success as a rally car too. I belive Colin Mcrae drove one in the Safari rally.
Subaru liked to supercharge their kei cars in the late eighties and early nineties. Theyre about the only ones, though.

My brother had a vw corada which had s'charged engine. Yeah it worked quite well and id have that now.
The LSJ has been in a lot more cars than you mentioned. It was actually in the Saturn Ion Redline a year before the Cobalt, but a 2.4L version was used in the Ariel Atom for a time, and I believe in some other vehicles as well.
2.4 was used in some cobalt ss cars. Just not boosted. They then became the cobalt sport.

I think the only reason superchargers were used back then was because in the case of the MR2, a small turbo didn't really exist and would make the power delivery more crass than pick up lines or it was just easier to plonk a supercharger and call it a day, without needing to modify the pistons, crank, valves, cams (the last 3 is hypothetical)

More information about the Brazillian 1.0 litter Supercharged Fiesta: produced from 2003 to 2005, using an M24 Eaton Supercharger, it developed 95 CV @ 6000 RPM and 124 Nm @ 4250 RPM with a Zetec Rocam engine.
That nissan millenia is an absolute gem
in Brazil the MK1 Ford Ecosport and the MK6 Ford Fiesta had a version of the Duratec 8v engine in 999cc with supercharger

Lexus IS200 with the regular 1G-FE came with an optional bemani supercharger giving it a slight boost up to 190hp

My suggestion (installed in a motocycle instead of a car) are the engines from the Kawasaki H2 / H2R and the new H2 SX / H2 SE.
The specs in short:
All engines: 998ccm
H2 SX/SE: 147 kW / 200 hp @ 11000 rpm and 137 Nm @ 9500 rpm
H2: 147 kW / 200 hp @ 11000 rpm and 134 Nm @ 10500 rpm
H2R: 228 kW / 310 hp @ 14000 rpm and 165 Nm @ 12500 rpm and a noise level of 120 dB/A! --> After 16 operating hours nach above 8000 rpm a engine service is necessary.

There are also versions of the gm 3.8 v6 and 3.4 v6 that were fitted with a supercharger

In Italy we have the 500 which has a 0.9 turbo twinaid
Here in Brazil we have the Ford Fiesta supercharger, it has a 1000cc engine and an Eaton M24 supercharger

The Cobalt SS had a 2.0 turbo known as LNF, naturally aspirated was a 2.4 litre engine. Alot of people would mount a turbo on the 2.4 It never came from the factory like that though.
I would suggest the Nissan HR12DDR three cilinder which uses the Miller cycle like the Mazda V6. It is also known as the 1.2 Dig-t as used in the Micra and Note.
