The renault safrane biturbo (268 hp restricted, 280hp full) hold the title of being the most powerful car ever produced by renault until last year which was beaten by the renault megane 4 rs (280hp). Come on Renault, 25 years to make a slightly more powerful car.
Renault could not adapt as well as other manufacturer could in turbo-street legal produced cars. They were also know for their electric problems (especially the Renault 25) so it's not impressive that Renault has laying back. In the other hand, their V6 was the old PRV engine, it was a good engine but only that ... it was by far back in time. Do not misunderstand me, I'm a Renault owner, and a Renault lover, but it is (and it was) the reality.
s Santiago Ibarra you're right, the PRV engine was not well designed at first, but it can still handle some serious power while being reliable (venturi 400 for exemple 400hp with turbo) and it was an old engine. renault 25 and safrane had their issues with electronics, but every brand in the 90's and 2000's were impacted too. Today these cars are running stronger than ever .

I knew all of them, but I miss some few more: Saab 9000 turbo, Alfa Romeo 164 2.0 v6 Turbo, Peugeot 505 turbo, Citroen CX Turbo... By the way nice bike.

Can't mention the Volvo 940 in a list like this without the 240. Same power plants, rear wheel drive still had a turbo option for the 240 TURBO and 240 GLT.

I love all of them. But the Alfa 75 is one of my favourites. I had 3 in my village. But one of them was the evolutione. Now I moved to another town and there is a guy who owns a turbo tuning shop. He have an Alfa 75 with 500hp. The only thing that is left untouched is the enterior. He also owns an Alfa 156 with 1000hp. He uses it to compete in drag racing events but it's road legal.
Oh that one, it is good as well but I suggest you to buy KTM Duke 250 or 200. I prefer more on service and availability on products rather than it's performance, but it's up to you. I personally wanted the TNT 250 because of it's 360 degree firing interval, sounds like a baby BMW F800 and it's awesome to hear it daily + safeness (TNT 300 isn't sold on South East Asian countries caused by tax, etc.) TNT 25 is so close with KTM Duke 250 in terms of design and shape. Good luck finding that bike!
I had a Renault 25 v6turbo with an Ansa exhaust,it was a beast for the time.Got a Volvo turbo afterwards was also a great car,no traction control etc.. so wheel spun in third gear when the road was a bit damp.
Glad to see 2 Renault in the video. I have a Renault 18 with a 1.4 cleon-fonte engine and I'm planning to put a garrett on it. As an iron engine (almost the same, if it's not the same that the Renault 5 turbo has) i can afford a good performance boost

You can get a car in NZ and Australia that is very similar to the lotus omega Carlton. It is called the ford falcon xr6 turbo. It is a sedan with a turbo straight six.

Safrane biturbo is still one of the prettiest cars ever made for me. Simple and beautiful
