Played on a Sweetwoods baritone performance model made by David Lynch. This is his prototype pick up floating adjustable bridge. Tuning AEA in the key of E.
I couldn't believe how good this dulcimer sounded. Certainly the best one I've heard, such depth of tone. Beautifully sung too. I must try singing it at this tempo.
So beautiful..I am so intrested in the baritone dulcimer. Is there much differenct in 3 & 4 string models ? and how do you like the tone with yours unpluged ? Was yours very expensive? thanks so much for any info..Terry
Hello Terry, I like the 3 strings better. I play across the fret board so it makes more sense to have 3. The tone of this one is beautiful. It was a custom model so ya, close to a thousand. It has a special floating mandolin bridge pick up. Go to David Lynch Sweetwoods website for more info.
I’ve been trying to learn this song on a

I thought I'd post my version as a response, nowhere near as beautiful as yours. But just in case you're interested.
Thank you. Yes I do attend festivals. My all time favorite is Kentucky Music Week. Not just for mountain dulcimer players. You should check it out.
Did you learn this from sheet music? And if so, where can I find this version?
