- In a wet set rut? I know I am. Let's see if a bonnet hair dryer is a useful tool in creating vintage hairstyles.
*UPDATE: since filming, I've decided to return the bonnet dryer. Nothing against the product, I just decided it didn't fit my lifestyle and wanted to be fully transparent.

Interesting experiment. The bonnet dryer produced a fuzzier style. Your wet set overnight was much shinier and smoother. Some people don't like sleeping on rollers but you are fine so might as well enjoy the look.
I have the portable version of the same bonnet dryer and because it's a cap I find it completely dries my hair so well that I have to keep it on the lowest setting. I only use on it occasion though as I prefer the overnight set the best.
I have used a couple of different bonnet dryers -- cuz I'm old. I'm surprised THEY weren't what made me deaf. Nothing beats a bonnet when you have a fragile set. I found that blow dryers, even set on low and with diffusers, were too aggressive with the curlers. I still prefer the blow dryer, because for my hairstyle, if it is short to a certain point, I have to dry my hair upside down into the general direction and then curl it with an iron and clip the curls until they cool. When my hair is longer, I only have to curl it, but I don't do a wet set because my hair dries too tight.
Although I love this channel and your dedication to recreate the 1930s vibe and style, I don't think "glamour on a badget" fits here 🤔
Hi, thanks for your comment. You’ve made a really good point and it’s given me a lot to consider. I’m going to post a video around this idea and my plans ore to content in this vein in the coming year, so stay tuned! Thanks again!
