Of course, that's absolutely 100% the right way to explain how it must work. Just put yourself in the shoes of a potential employer, you're faced with possibly hundereds of CVs and it's up to you to find the 'right' candidate. If it was me, whichever CV gave me the highest confidence of being a winner is where I'd be looking. Quantifiable evidence that this person will add value and make a difference. I want to give you a massive kiss....thankyou x
Can you do a video on preparing acv when you are doing a career switch? Like, I am doing my Master's in the UK in order to change my career and I have no idea on how to prepare a CV for that, as in, I do have experience but not in the job i am looking for.
I have some questions: 1. I’ve been rejected from about 50 interviews. (In the last one they found the excuse that I could have given more examples. There must have been 20 to 30 perfectly given interviews with no feedback at all. The feedback I got from a lot of them is that they went for another candidate). 2. Before the pandemic it only took around 4 interviews to secure a new role 3. I went to a top business school and have half a decade of experience working for blue chip companies 4. *I’ve been given the advice by some corporate operatives that I could still somehow secure a role at a top company even if I’ve been unemployed for half a dozen years* *Is it discrimination? Is it bias because there is money involved? I would just like to know what is going on as I’m being forced to retire early abroad/take a career break in the summer*..
It is not for all cases . ATS is some what matters and people makes businesses with the name of ats and nothing does with this . . Reality is different and employers check portfolio and your companies worked with . Thats it
Okay.... SO I tailor my CV based on JD for almost all job roles... and I always include keywords as well... Additionally my CV do not really have grammatical errors its all written in UK English... The structure is also right... Yet I am not getting any calls... Also my work experience is written in XYZ format.... Tbh sorry but it was a generic video

Hi Ashika, really amazing and easy to follow content. Although I wanted to understand how exactly can I build a cv without any sort of experience in the hard skills category ? How do I make a genuine cv which also gets accepted quicker. Thank You :)
Trying to find a job in Netherlands in IT in order to move there... I only have my diploma degree in IT, but don't even know which website use to create a new resume and stuff, someone help?
Am an experienced 8-9 years in graphic designing field, but I started my career after doing some other job for 10-12. Now 50 years of age ! What is the possibility to at least consider my CV for kind of job either online or offline, can you suggest?
I am sorry but we shouldn't let people from over seas come to the uk to take over our jobs. There isn't enough jobs in the uk for british citizen.immigration law should be tight and very strict even for spouse visa
According to gov. statistics, the number of vacancies in July to September 2023 was 988,000. A lot of these jobs cannot be filled locally because the talent pool does not have the required skill sets. A lot of people have moved to the UK and contributed to the economy over the years who weren't originally from the UK.
You may want to check how many job openings there currently are in the UK. And they aren't able to fill them with the local talent. Also, interesting comment considering your name.

All the description is aimed at the people with experience, what about people who lack experience?
Clear, straight to the point. Clever, thank you.
Thank you for the kind words.
Thank you very much as I now know how to write my CV for my desired job. No more confusion.

Not always.

The UK isn't too finicky about this and graphic designers are on the shortage occupation list, so I'd say apply for as many openings as you can.
Hey
Where can we download the format for the CV? There’s no link attached

People born in the UK can't even get jobs and you are telling others to come to a country you're not even born in. Absolutely disgraceful.
