You are just so Awesome!!!! I love following your home adventures!!! I am so excited about your windows, being able to open them for airflow is going to be a wonderful new thing I'm sure!
I totally feel you on the changing of the mind. LOL - I figured this was coming when the name change happened. 😂 The chickens seemed very Casee circa guppy breeder...fun for a while and then you were done once it started getting crazy. Learning to embrace the slowness of winter is hard. Just as spring is breaking - it's so easy to slip into something "fun" and time consuming and expensive. I did it for years too - so I totally get it. I hope one day you bring back the little pond in the greenhouse. I still have that one penciled in for my greenhouse. Congrats on the window decision! You have a beautiful view - you need to take full advantage of it. I think I have finally acquired enough glass to build my greenhouse...I just need to make some plans on laying it out. The roof will still be something other than glass...since I am surrounded by trees, but all of the walls will be glass - recycled windows, glass from sliding glass doors, glass doors for the front and rear...I have been collecting for several years.
Oh I’m so glad you are going to have your greenhouse soon! I think it will be fine without glass on the roof. I wouldn’t even know how to do that! I agree some we do just need to learn how to embrace the slowness because it never stays that way!
And yes I really need the pond! It would help with my tropicals. It got really hot in the Summer with the pond but we are getting shade cloth for the roof soon so that would help!
@ThisOldGreenhouse - my parents have a full glass greenhouse and it was always way too hot in the summer for anything to survive in there. I suggested shadecloth a few years ago and they add it as soon as the weather starts heating up. It has made a HUGE difference. They just stretch it across the roof on the outside - they added hooks to catch the grommets. It works perfect and can easily be removed for the winter and early spring when you want that full sun. Are you going to film the window install? I would like to see how he is going to do that. My greenhouse is all on me - I am trying to gather as many ideas and as much info as I can for my build.
Is it okay to try then change your minds. That's what's life is all about. Chickens are expensive, plus it is time-consuming, and it is definitely time-consuming. I still love watching your videos. It is very interesting, I think ❤😅
Thank you I’m glad you’re enjoying… even my mind changes lol. Yes live and learn sometimes. Silkies are time consuming and expensive!! I think that era of my life has moved on and I’m ok with that ☺️

@@thedomesticfox717 Oh great idea. I’m gonna put grommets on mine too, and I was thinking hooks would hold it down and also make it easy to remove.
