Doing things to an existing home isn’t for the faint of heart, for sure, but they have come up with all sorts of ways to fix our mistakes, when we make them(so I guess, we weren’t the first to make these mistakes😂) That’s the reason my husband won’t do anything until he has to, cause it’s always such a hassle😢

Since I have horses and have to go out multiple times a day no matter the weather, I screwed these rubber mats to my steps. You know those thick black anti-fatigue rubber stall mats at tractor supply with the big holes throughout it? I used those, I cut them to fit. It works really good in snow too. I also put a full sized one on my back porch so no one slips on the wood decking. It also helps with tracking in less mud and dirt.

I love the dark colors!!! It looks classy and cozy! I actually prefer dark colors when painting a room in a home. The only lighter colors I've used is a deep beige sand and a sage.

I picked up a 4 month old a week ago, and being an aviary bred bird, it's a totally different experience to this... Completely independent and just wants to do their own thing in the room any time i'm not quick enough with the cage door.

Oh wow. His very lucky to get a house from his great-grandmother. Kids grow so dang fast. When my kids decided to all move out almost the same year, I was so depressed 😢. It was like I lost them all, lol. But I knew I didn't. it is just the idea of it. Well, one thing is that he is close to you in case you need help. Or just to be around him. But I think he is a good kid. Is good for him to be independent 😅 But I'm sure he will be around a lot.

I have a large hanging pitcher plant and didn’t realize I could prop so easily. When you pulled out that ceramic berry container, I never ran to my pantry so fast and grabbed mine, then reached into my chameleons cage and stole some sphagnum moss and immediately propped my plant!
