Just wanted to clarify, I've seen a lot of people thanking me for making this video, I didn't make it! I just recorded the tutorials that are in the game and uploaded them here in an easier to digest format. So don't thank me, thank the devs for making such great tutorial videos!
Lol these idiots. I thought at first "WTF 172 subs on a channel with this professional video" until I realized shortly after you were just going through the menu of the game.

@@arjentromp12 2 years have passed. You are now a master of the scandinavian flick, which by now is too boring for you. You are spending your time trying to find a more interesting way to enter your driveway at high speeds

thank you for uploading all these! now i don't have to download the whole game again, i don't understand why they couldn't just put these videos in dirt rally 2.0 too.
You don't want oversteer on clear pavement It will make you slower than your grip racing The opposite goes for loose surfaces Very important to keep in mind Otherwise very good video
This is actually not true. You want slight oversteer of about 10 degrees or less, which naturally happens if you drive at the limit of grip. The plot thickens.
thanks for uploading! really wish 2.0 went into more depth or expanded or fleshed out the rally world with videos somehow.. $60 game with mainly new maps i guess. no wait.. $80 for the full game.
At least Richard Burns Rally is free AND with mods it has much better physics, more maps, and more cars. Dirt rally has nice maps, looks great, and has better pacenotes, but it's really lacking everywhere else. Don't think I can go back to Dirt rally now. Maybe I'll try WRC when I get better at rallying.
One day, I might actually be able to drive a real rally car a bit. Or practice being a co-driver. Until then, gotta play Dirt Rally 2.0 on my laptop with a Switch Pro controller. Nice.
WRC is a sim aswell i believe i never played any WRC games. However if it is a sim then real world techniques are useful (the tutorials here can be used in irl driving, but i'd recommend going to a rally school instead of just illegally rally racing)
150 hours in and im still struggling. I do get good results sometimes, but far from consistent. Definitely the hardest game I've ever owned but wont be giving up just yet.
Hey, how's it going now? Struggling is okay: it means you're pushing your limits. Still, one thing to try is to step back and look at your fundamentals. Try driving conservatively for a bit rather than pushing for the flashy moves, and focus on keeping control of your car and racing line as well as possible. I feel it's kind of like learning knife skills... speed comes with time, but trying to rush too far ahead of yourself can really backfire, if you know what I mean. You might learn something new about your strengths and weaknesses as a driver. Just have fun with it!

didn't know the game had video tutorials

Seriously... even the exact same ones, sans updating the graphics. But instead they stripped the tutorials and tooltips...
Awesome tutorials! Much better than the tutorial videos released for Dirt Rally 2.0 recently..
one of the best rally tutorials there is!

I love how the word "grip" is used when the Stratos comes onscreen😂😂

why did they remove this in dirt rally 2.0?
i wonder why there are no tutorials in dr 2.0
Where is this available inside the game ? I am not able to locate it anywhere
its in the main menu right under the custom event
Good
The ONLY thing that bothers me about this game is that the tutorial mode doesn't have an easy way to practice 50 scandi flicks in a row.
I think they did this on purpose due to the fact in real life you only go through the corner once
Mike Brewer?
why isnt this in dirt rally 2.0?
Game have this tutorial video on russian language ?
he says that 4WD cars behave like RWD when accelerating (ie oversteer) and like FWD when breaking (ie understeer), but when I change my setup to reduce those characteritics (break bias to back and front torque bias) my car drives like shit TBH.
Because you want slight rear brake bias and rear torque bias.
Overseer can always be corrected and can even be helpful, but understeer is ALWAYS bad.
Oversteer is ok if it isn't "snap"
Understeer is bad, just look at Bakazato
