- A great Sabaton song, a wildly under appreciated anime. Kotobuki is great and noone has really made an AMV I like of Red Baron, so here we are. Subscribe to my main channel if you want to see a build video of Hasegawa's 1/48 Kotobuki models at some point in the future.

Is this anime any good? I am considering on watching it.
It's so-so. If you really enjoy WWII aircraft, or dogfighting in general, it's worth a watch. The aircraft are beatiful and some of the research that went into the scenes are incredible- for example, they show the complete (and correct) starting sequence for one of the main characters aircraft. If you aren't as into those thing there might not be that much there for you- it's pretty light on plot.

It's literally the most realistic aerial battle that they had created in anime so far, God I like the detail of their planes, I'll rate it up to 5 starts to be honest, assuming that I am a fan of Worldwar stuff. And it's also was created by girl und panzer studio's, so I don't see why not...
It's A 50-50 but if your into WW2 Aircraft Enthusiasm....yes give it a go....it Gives A person on what a pilot do in WW2.....kinda like Girls Und Panzer but there Fighter pilots

Neither. The universe of the show / manga is no on our own Earth. Why exactly they have WWII Japanese aircraft is something I can't say without spoiling the 'plot', but you'll notice that is the only nation's AC that they have. (Bar the F-86 but it kinda counts I guess)

@@w_ast5336 its a Nakajima Ki-44 Shoki, a heavy interceptor that differed in design in Japanese doctrine (Japanese planes like the Zero and the Ki-43 Hayabusa (used by the main characters) have more emphasis on maneuvrability thats why, especially the Zero has the most tight turning radius, especially made for dogfights. The Ki-44 Shoki placed emphasis on speed and altitude, as for the role of interception, to intercept bombers. The Ki-44 is one of the few planes that can reach the altitude of B-29s, the others is the Kawanishi N1K2-J Shiden, Mitsubishi J2M Raiden and another by Nakajima, the Ki-84 Hayate.

Yf 23 never entered service instead the f22 raptor was chosen
They are no match for my pilot skills I have some pretty technique to evade enemy's shots
This anime has a confusing story, horrible writing, some very cringe "deviant art OC like" characters and it sucks but I love it!
The action is just so good that nothing else matters! You're not watching it to learn that Kirie likes pancakes and Chika likes sea animals, you're watching it to see Japanese WW2 planes defy the laws of physics in the most amazing ways possible! It's kinda like girls und panzer, oh wait, it was made by the same guys!
