- That was an awesome short by Motive, and I quickly got the idea to pair with a new favorite from Sabaton about another legendary fighter ace, The Red Baron!

This made me realize something: we need a Red Baron style story in Star Wars.
Thing is, we got one in Legends with Baron Sootir Fel, who effectively was the Empire's Red Baron and was a rival with Wedge Antilles. Then later on, much like Manfred would've done had he survived to square off with the anti-Monarchial Nazi regime, he eventually teamed up with Antilles to fight a series of petty Imperial Warlords before eventually serving with and then establishing a new Imperial regime with the Chiss. This would all culminate with the Fel Empire, ruled by his son Jagged Fel I with his wife, Jaina Solo.
That sounds pretty epic, don't it?
@@Tracer_Krieg Hell yes. It kinda makes me more annoyed that Disney purged the EU like they did. That sounds like a good character to follow.
@@nathansteinfromarkham7109 If I had to write up the story of Squadrons, I would've had us follow this rivalry between Fel and Antilles, all the up until they team up and go their separate ways. Perhaps even have the final, end credit scene be Fel be recruited by Grand Admiral Thrawn and his ambitions to create a new empire...
@@Tracer_Krieg That would have been pretty good. If that had been incorporated into Squadrons and I knew all that in advance I would have considered getting squadrons.

All Imperial pilots are absolute experts, notice how the top aces of the Rebels are former Imperials? The only thing seriously holding back the Emperial pilots are crappy fighters

Fits incredibly well for this Pilot. I hear you later can encounter this guy, and he still is flying in game.
Yes he is and in the game you can get the ship but it stays the same blacl color I wish there was like a challenge that if you complete the game on harden or veteran you get the red paint called "the red ace" a Easter egg to the red baron

For true authenticity, you'd need a Tie Fighter, as the Empire was based on Imperial Germany.

The dogfight in the canyon reminds me of the movie "Independence Day" from decades ago.
Come to think of it, the Star Wars pilot they selected appears to be Soonter Fel for the identity of the man in question; and he had his own adventures with the profoundly messed-up Imperial leadership in the course of his career.

Game and Video are very good Stuff, and in this Battle the Rebels wins because they are stronger ( 3 heavy Cruisers ) that is rare.
